I love how everyone goes all "universe is infinite and atom is infinitesimal". There's a calculation floating around that actually has the size of the universe where the universe is defined as the boundary which encases all existing matter in relation to "time". And there's a defined size for the basic atom. Shame on you Basil, shame on you.
This thread should've compared a string to the universe! 1:infinity of course. even if the universe seems like it is getting smaller to us, u must take in consideration the law of thermodyanmics Energy can be changed from one form to another, but it cannot be created or destroyed. and also the law of conservation of energy and matter

@celinemariebby: Lol, I want to do BSc Physics/Mathematical Physics and then use that to get into these things.
I loooooove Physics and Maths.

The universe is not infinite it just keeps on growing, BIG difference.
Still you cannot compare something that has no stable size.
Unimaginable.
maybe our universe is just 1 of 50000000000000000000000000000000000000 universes, like a bubble in the sea

I believe in universe expansion.

unlimited and infinite amounts of power and measurements
comparison
In terms of greatness, that's like comparing TS to Chuck Norris, or Ash Ketchum to Gary Oak.
lol but ash beat gary with pickachu. i doubt the TS can beat Chuck Norris.
The universe isn't collapsing though. At least not yet
The universe is infinite. The atom is almost the smallest of small.
Compare an ant's distance away from the sun (93 million miles if I recall correctly). And then multiply that by a sideways eight.
Not necessarily true, if you consider a collapsing universe.
universe is a never ending infinity.
1:Infinity.
The universe is infinite. The atom is almost the smallest of small.

Well, you can't really compare anything to the universe since it's never the same size.
