Tips on Memorizing

Lines from a play? I have to do a act from a play with a group in class and remembering these lines are really annoying since we were only given a week and we have to play multiple characters. So anyone got some tips on memorizing lines?

This is what I do.
*rhearse it out loud
*rhearse it to mirror
*rhearse it in the shower
*take my lines everywhere I go.
*rhearse in mind
*rhearse with partners as many times as possible (most important)

Don't stress. Don't try to remember it all at once. It won't work. If it's not to long, try to remember a page a day.

Rehearse it out loud, better if you have another person to say those lines to. For me, memorizing before going to bed helps too.

Remember that you don't really have to memorize it word per word.. You can always impromptu a word or two as long as it doesn't affect the anything on the scene.

Get a good night's rest and rehearse them right when you wake up.
