Introduction/Conclusion Paragraph

How do I write the introduction and conclusion paragraphs for an informational essay? We can't express our personal opinion on our chosen topic so I'm confused how to make a thesis for the intro.

introduction

1. -neutral sentence (something that everyone would agree upon about the topic e.g. the french revolution was an important event which shaped history)
2. -purpose of the essay e.g. this essay will describe the french revolution and how it affected the world
3. -list your points e.g. my 3 points will be nationalism, the metric system and the abolishment of feudalism

I've been using 'we' 90% of the time unless it's a research paper of my own

@ShammyShakes: For personal and subjective writing, you can, by all means, use "I". After taking several university English courses, many profs don't want their students to use personal pronouns for academic essays.

@ShammyShakes uhm... I don't think so lol...

Well, what's the essay on? Informational, as in it's informing the readers of a certain subject matter?
