Lou Reed dies at 71
Rock legend, front-man for Velvet Underground, died today, fittingly on a Sunday Morning. One of my biggest musical influences, he will greatly be missed.

As the joke goes, everyone who bought The Velvet Underground & Nico went on to start a band of their own. Not only will his music live on ("Walk on the Wild Side" is the tune most everybody knows), but his influence as a songwriter is extensive. Velvet Underground was basically *the* seminal alt rock band.

When you posted that video and I saw that it said "Sunday Morning" I expected to hear this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCaLM8cm5c0

Lou is one of a handful of my favourite artists that I will never be able to see perform live, which actually saddens me.
