Bigger Arms with Squats This is some of the best advice I have ever read and followed, so I am reposting it here for everyone to see, especially considering the number of "I want bigger arms" threads I see weekly Adapted from the best-selling book BRAWN by Stuart McRobert To build muscle mass, you must increase strength. It's that simple. You will never get huge arms, a monstrous back, a thick chest, or massive legs without lifting heavy weights. I know that probably doesn't come as a revelation to anyone. But despite how obvious it seems, far too many people (and not just beginners) neglect power training and rarely make increasing the weights lifted in each successive workout a priority. You must get strong in the basic
Visiting the Usa for the first time Long story short a mate of mine and myself have decided to embark on a 3 week trip of America in September. Specifically East Coast, more specifically NY, Penn State University, Washington DC, Chicago and Boston. I have decent understanding of the BIG attractions in most of those cities, but if anyone has any tips for little know things to do, restaurants to eat in, bars to visit and so on, I would much appreciate it.
R.I.P. Leslie Nielsen It's a sad day for comedy :(

Ukulele song suggestions Greetings and salutations, As a b'day present for myself I have recently purchased a ukulele. Recommendation for songs to play at a wedding This might be a long-shot considering the demographic of this site, but I have been surprised before, so here it goes. Long story short I am in-charge for a 2 hour playlist to be played at the conclusion of a wedding. By this time everyone should be rather liquored up so I have been asked to try and get everyone dancing. So I am looking for suggestions in-case I have missed anything obvious. Now, most importantly the majority of the the guest attending will be in their early to mid 30s, so the songs will have to reflect that demographic, none of them will get up and dance to Nicki Minaj. Instead I am looking for songs such as Wham - Wake Me Up, B-52's - Love Shack, Billy Joel - Uptown Gi
Question to fellow guitar players Greetings and salutations. I have been playing guitar for about a year now (mainly acoustic, but I own an electric as well). Long story short, it's my b'day and I wanted to buy myself another instrument for my arsenal. Currently I am looking at either a 12 string acoustic (travel size) or a nice ukulele. So here is my question, which one would you choose and why? My main concern with a 12 string is tuning, is that only really a problem if tuning by ear? Most tuners these days can distinguish between different octaves of the same string right? Thanks in advance.
May have found myself a keeper SMS conversation between my girlfriend and I this morning. Finally a girl who is one of the "boys" as well.

And so the student becomes the master It seemed only yesterday that I was a wide eyed young teenager sitting in my very first university lecture, never did I dream that in a few short years I would get to cross the podium and actually stand in front of these wide eyed teenagers as a lecturer. Yep, in a few short hours I will be giving my very first lecture on Advanced Molecular Biology at a university. Not going to lie to you, I am a little bit nervous.
