Noobs asking for mesos

I know most of you dislike these noobs who just trade you out of nowhere and ask you for some mesos.

I usually accept the trade and give them around 300k mesos.

Just yesterday, this undercover noob traded me. He asked me for mesos and I just felt nice that day and gave him 5mil mesos and some useless equips I had. Right after, he retraded me and he told me that he was quitting ms and that it was his mule. He said everyone just cancelled the trade on him when he asked nicely for help and I was the only one who was willing to help. He gave me like 6 chairs that were worth a total of about 800mil. (That's a lot of money to me)

So you guys might get lucky too for being nice to "noobs".

Farming event coins from DIPQ and doing CRA/Magnus/Gollux. I also get around 20 cubes/1000 reward points every 2x from VL/Hilla/Ranmaru/PB/etc.
The thing is, they're really just wasting their time. Unless they find begging fun for some reason. You can easily average 200-300 M/hr just from in game events/bosses/farming. That's like getting 4-5 M every minute.
People trade me to give me mesos.

I had to disable it.

I can't remember the last time anyone stopped me for money. Must've been sometime during last year's December, I think, while in El Nath.
Talkative players--especially beggars--aren't something I often run into anymore (not that I'm complaining).

I just give them like 1-2m. If they are really new to the game, then they'll feel like 1-2m is a lot, even now. If they are ungrateful, then that's on them but there is always the off chance you'll help someone that needs it and that makes donating it worth it (this goes for charity too, as some charities don't actually process all the money you give directly to what they say they will give). 1m is really nothing if you think about it though. You're giving less than 1 cent (USD) for 1m. If you can't part with 1 cent, then that's another issue. I have some buddies that just got into playing and it's surprising how fast you can blow through even 20m if you buy all the mastery books for your good skills and spell trace/enhance the frozen gear.
I never begged for mesos and I turned out fine. MS has gotten to the point where you can pretty easily get starting mesos on your own, due to pot drops from bosses, there's no reason to beg. I had a similar experience to blackop00 though not to the extent. I gave them some money and they insulted me, I don't think it was 1m but it wasn't negligible.
I have the same sentiment. I made a new account recently because I did not like how secure my old account was. I did not need to to start worrying about meso into I needed to buy mastery books. Even then I just got a store permit sold some random stuff I found and I was set.

No thanks. I'm tired of these lazy noobs not working for mesos. They don't even thank me, or they retrade me a few minutes later because they forgot I just gave them mesos. Most aren't even at least proper when asking, I dislike when they say plz or pls. C'mon now... I always gave 1mil~5mil, that's plenty for potions to go Elite Hunting. I regret it, I feel like I get more trades, possibly people relogging on other characters to ask me again. So done with beggars.
I'd never go around asking for currency in any game I play. How shameful.

Beggars are the worst. These aren't homeless people we're talking about.

Still not giving away a single thing to noobs, whether they're really noobs or not.

A level 10 noob has no need for mesos. Nexon spoonfeeds levels to us, so if you can't get to level 11 without the aid of a power elixir you're hopeless. You don't actually need potions at all until about level 50 when you start training at drakes, and you don't need mesos until you reach 4th job. And by then you should have collected enough drops and npc'ed them to afford a level 20 mastery book... People are just really lazy and I have no desire to help out someone who can't be bothered to actually put effort into the game. I've never begged anyone for mesos when I started playing and managed just fine.

I give noobs things if they ask nicely. I just hate those who just trades and gets so arrogant when you dont give anything. To me, meso is meso but attitudes and cocky kids, that is just rude and disgusting. Spoon-feeding those noobs IMO usually goes for a bad turn... Once they reach 300k~ range they get cocky as crap and think they are top-dogs in MS... </3

I gave someone 10mil once and he was pretty happy about it. But then it got kind of annoying when people kept asking for mesos, so I just put 1 meso in the trade and they cancel right away

OT: I always give people some money/extra potions, only because I know how frustrating it is to not have any. >.<

I do not give meso out to others. I really do not get people asking me anyways. To be honest I usually always have trade disabled just in general.

I don't think the point of the story is to give mesos as a way to make 800m, but rather be nice and maybe you will be rewarded for your actions.
I've actually thought of this, but you can't really teach anyone through a trade though.
If there willing to listen, then anything is possible. I have had a few trades where I gave 10-20 minutes of advice and also guides to look up. Most of them are very thankful and willing to listen, through my experience.

Not by trade but by having conversations of course. Who knows this 'newbie' will be your best friend.

That's so nice of him! It's also something we should take into consideration when these "newbies" ask politely for mesos. Well deserved, nice job.

Helping them sometimes is fine but I rather give them advices than handing out mesos to them. I find it pointless, they will never learn. And I don't carry stuff around that I am going to drop. I npc or extract the stuff I found as soon as possible to clear up my inventory.

But it was really nice you encountered a funded person who is going to quit and gave you some free stuff.

most people who have that kind of money refuse to help so you stood out to him. likewise, people who can afford to donate would almost never do a test like that. but you were generous and good karma came to you
