There's a difference between inconvenience and difficulty. Things can be convenient while still taking effort, and things can be inconvenient just for inconvenience's sake.

While I agree that crying over things like drop rate or the difficulty of bosses can lead to a worse game, wanting bpot cubes to work in fewer clicks isn't going to kill maplestory. Blindly accepting every inconvenience or flaw in the game isn't going to preserve maplestory as some masterpiece. Making things convenient can be a big improvement to the game as long as its within reason, so criticizing every Quality of Life improvement as "ruining the game" is a bit misleading and very over dramatic.

@endurance: For certain things like leading a guild and leveling. For pvp, though, some people are just good.

If you want to achieve something big in an MMO, you need to work hard for it.

@piana: The secret world makes interaction amazing still. It's just that their combat is wack

@wellness: Argument is convenience kills the magic of social games.

It seems like a natural progression for a company whose purpose is to make money. Other companies just want to make a great game.

This person's argument seems unconvincing because he or she is trying to pin the blame on players who wanted the game more convenient, when really when you look back, majority of the players hate all the major new content and quit, and a lot of the content is not convenient at all, and lacks fun.

So I don't get it.

I think it's a ruse that makes people believe Nexon cares about any player. They follow the money.

I agree, I think players should at least go to the place on foot for the first time before being able to teleport there. Convenience should be accessed by people entirely familiar with the game world.

Unsure about the boat rides though, works if there's lots of players, not so much if there isn't.

Also I dislike how linear monsters are, like grouping all the Eye monsters in Ellinia, that's like grouping Polar bears, Pandas, and Sloth bears in the same Amazon rainforest habitat, and not finding any type of bear anywhere else. It's boring and ruins the immersiveness of how living the Maple World can feel.

I thought it was neat the Evil Eye creatures, Slime types, and the Drakes lived in various biomes. Makes 'recolored' enemies seem more refreshing to look at since most are so far apart from each other. I can't say the same with non-victoria island creatures though.
