MapleStory goes P2P (pay to play)
If maplestory goes p2p what would you do?
The costs will be: 1 month, €5.-/$5.-
6 months, €25.-/$25.-
12 months, €.50-/$50.-
Whenever you buy a new "Subscription" you can choose from a gift! If you buy a 1 month subscription, you would get 5000 nexon cash points. If you buy a 6 months subscription you would get 25000 nexon cash points and so on!
The items in the "Cash shop" will ALL be made half the price, and ALWAYS permanent!
Things that would change if this happened: WAY better customer service, No need to buy nexon cash anymore as it is included in the subscription gifts, All inventory slots will be made the MAX. amount of slots, If you have ever paid for more slots.. The NX spent on those addiditions will be fully refunded, No more NX skillbooks (Ofcourse those will be refunded to!) There WILL be NO lag (atleast from nexon itself.. If you got bad internet connection itself.. Get over it!), The GM's will be doing LOTS more, All CURRENT hacks, Glitches, Bugs WILL be fixed!
With all this in mind.. Would you still play Maplestory?

Wouldn't they lose money instead of being productive? Some people do spend more than $50/week on NX after all. :c

They already fix this stuff...they're just slow sometimes.

I think... they'll make you pay... AND make you pay for NX... AND make you pay for skills... why stop there? They'll probably make you pay for job adv too. Even if what you say happens... no, I will not

The charm/revenue of the game is in the f2p - and you'd probably lose the younger half of the age bracket.
Though it would be interesting - like that 3D MapleStory "news" that was going around a while ago.
If it means Nexon somehow finds a way to do the following:
-Permanently rid of all hackings.
-Significantly reduce the sporadic server crashes.
-Use the newly supported profit from Pay2Play to hire more people, ultimately making the game run smoother and improve customer service.
Then sure, why not?

@bankaihenry You could look at it like that indeed but in my post i more formulated it as: You buy subscription, We give you nx! But would you still play @bankaihenry ?
I'd go for it IF;
-Gacha and the like would be removed
-SP/AP resets should be free/obtainable through quests
-No more 2x cards
-Store permits free, but hired store slaves purchaseable from CS
-Better customer service and higher security
-Only item sold in CS would be clothes and things that are only for customizing your character + the store slave.
