Quit coming down on the guy's musical tastes. You aren't getting any cooler saying there's better bands. For there are better bands than your better bands.
that's a very bold statement but there are many many people that equal talent like datsik for example. I usually listen to Dubstep, That's how i found out about them.
Whenever people talk about Deadmau5 it's always people who don't normally listen to electronic music and they think they're being hip. The problem with these people is that they haven't discovered a lot of artists that are a lot better than Deadmau5.
It's even worse when these people then go to think they know everything about electronic music. It bugs me.
