Recently came back and was updating my gear.
Is the explorer's critical ring still good or should I replace it with one of these new fangled gollux rings?

Is the explorer's critical ring still good or should I replace it with one of these new fangled gollux rings?

You can create a Phantom linkmule and recieve 10% Crit. That way you won't loose critrate% and you will gain range by using a better ring :-).
There are people on basil that can do basic arithmetic? I am shocked.

Just for your record:
Base Min Crit: 120%
Base Max Crit: 150%
Your crit Rate without ring: 65%
Bow Expert: +15% min
Sharp Eyes: +30% max
Average crit multiplier without ring: (1.35+1.8)/2*0.65+0.35=1.37
Average Crit multiplier with ring: 1.43
Damage difference = 1.43/1.37=1.04
76*1.04=79.3k~80k
If your gollux ring increases your range by 4k then you probably want to upgrade.

about 76k range
75% crit rate with SE, only link skills are demon slayer/cannoneer
its the 10% crit rate one, with the small percent chance to autokill when they are below a certain %
If you could provide me with your:
- current range;
- other critical sources, such as link skills; and
- the critical ring stats(pretty sure there's several variants unless you mean the one handed out a few months ago);
I can advise you how much range the gollux ring needs to add (you can check this by hovering over an item) to perform better than your critical ring.
it's still good, but if you have good potential for all 4 gollux rings then you should probably use those instead.
