basically some power-hungry scumball backdoors the SAO servers and siphons off some of the "dead" players to experiment with his own game world (ALO). it's not life-threatening but Asuna is being held hostage in the game so the villain can marry her/gain her family's influence and power.

SAO has beautiful production quality, but the writing is absolutely atrocious (plot holes, unrealistic virtual [b]reality[/b], God-awful pacing, bad development, etc).

It's barely worth a 7/10 and doesn't deserve an appreciation thread.

I'm still up to date on it, but losing interest.

Obviously its 24 episodes or so since it has been announced that it was a 2-cour anime. I wanna see GGO in action, Kirito with swords vs guns <3

Asuna i hot.... Still surprised why no one talked about the love triangle ( sorta ) in SAO

It died for me after episode 15 or 16. The first arc was okay. I liked it with the flashy action and romance. I didn't mind how fast paced it was, in fact, I even enjoyed it. Then, there's a new game and he's STILL overpowered. Sure, it's better than the kid in Mirai Nikki; Guilty Crown; and Accel World, but that ruins all the fun.

Still going to watch it because I love Asuna.

maybe your friends don't watch it because the new season rolled around and there are actual, good shows to watch instead of mediocre MMO cash-in psuedo-harem?

like it's not terrible but if i'm going to watch something mediocre i'll at least go with Magi.

24 episodes just like accel world, hope they decide to make more seasons as i'd like to see mother rosario despite how corny it can be.

I sure hope so. The action is the only thing that makes me want to watch it. Also, tsubasa chronicles is waaaay better alskvjsdlkvjasdfvswaqqyolo
