If a teacher gives you attitude, do you have the right to

give attitude back to them? Like if a teacher is being a female dog to you and you decided to talk back to them because you didn't like their attitude. I got detention for doing so, i mean an hour after school big whoop, but seriously? If the teacher think they have to right to say crap about me, I think I have the right to say crap back.
Thoughts?

U wouldn't understand even if you wanted to.

im pretty sure ive said this before but I really dont understand how anyone could want to be a teacher when they grow up when you see how absolutely disrespected and disregarded teachers are all the time. Id probably rather my kid grow up to be a prostitute than a teacher because at least someone would appreciate their work.

Nah, it's just better to try and get faculty or your parent to come with you to talk it out, if you think it's that bad.

My teacher calls me arrogant and rude because I don't revise for my tests. I wouldn't go as far as attacking the teacher, because that will ultimately get you into much more trouble.

You can defend yourself.

But if you are wrong, you don't have the right to defend yourself.

If its all true, you can't defend yourself.

No, you don't. Even if they're completely biased and/or wrong, you're supposed to just sit there and deal with their crap.
And parents wonder why their kids hate school so much..

You don't have the right to attack her simply because she is attacking you. That's not how it works. You do have the right to defend yourself, though. You can defend yourself without pushing yourself into her space.

She is the one at fault if she initiated it, though. Teachers seem to think they have much more power which isn't how a classroom should work. Teachers have power, but ultimately the students should also have power. Everybody in that room is there for the students, or at least they should be.
