Do you guys think I can handle 3 Ap classes?

So I'm a sophomore picking my classes for my junior year. The thing is, I'm not sure if I can handle 3 Ap classes. I been having atleast a 3.3 GPA avg from freshmen - sophomore year with math being the lowest at a C+.
My Schedule for next year:
AP English
APUSH
Bio AP
Pre-Calculus
Engineering
Spanish 2.

I am determine to take AP English and bio AP for college reasons but I'm not sure if I can handle APUSH. Your thoughts should I take them, or should I only take 2 AP classes?

I heard AP Bio and APUSH is a killer combination. AP Eng and APUSH as well. I don't know, that could just be at my high school though.

APUSH, APEnglish, APBio... all of them require a ton of reading and memorization...
personally, i prefer math, so i wouldn't even think of taking these classes together.
however, i believe if you want to go medical school, you're still going to have to take biology even if you took it in HS, so you should consider that if you want to go to med school.

That's what I'm saying, I wish I could have gotten some intro engineering in HS.

Both AP English and APUSH at the same time can be harsh on you. There's going to be a lot of reading. I'd just choose one of them with AP Bio.
Yes, but some people are smarted than others. There's a whole bunch of kids in my school that take 5 APs per year and were able to maintain a 4.0 UW GPA.
The thread starter stated he has a 3.3 GPA and got a C+. Clearly he isn't your 4.0 GPA, super smart genius. (And I mean this with absolutely no offense)

On the flip side, thread starter, you want to challenge yourself Junior year because it's the most important year. If you think you can manage your time, then go for it. After the first test or two you can further determine if you want to drop out of the class or stay.
I mean, I got a 67 in an IB class

It's natural to have atleast 1 bad mark.

so yes I assume you can handle 3 AP classes
AP Bio is already enough memorizing.
If your APush class is anything like ours, you're brain will be fried each and every evening by the amount of pages you have to read...

With the GPA you have. stick with AP English + AP Bio.
My GPA was a 3.54 and I took 2 APs Junior year.

Have you taken AP classes before?
Also, which AP English are you taking? There are two, and one is more difficult than the other.

It's definitely possible to "handle" 3 AP classes. I took AP chemistry, AP stats, and self-studied AP psychology last year as a sophomore.
This year, as a junior, I'm taking 3 AP classes (calc BC, APUSH, and language + comp) in school and self-studying AP environmental sciences.
Some people take even more AP classes, so it's do-able.

If you excel in your AP classes, your GPA will definitely improve. However, obviously you'll have to put more time/effort into your studies if you want to do well. Think about if you have the necessary motivation, time, and energy for 3 AP classes. I'm not familiar with your GPA scale, so I can't really judge if you're a good student or not.

Honestly, I don't think this is the sort of question that you should ask random people online about ... instead, ask current juniors/seniors in your school about the difficulty of the AP classes you're planning to take and consider your own limitations.

AP English because my favorite teacher is teaching it and all my friends are taking with me. AP Bio is because im planning on majoring in forensic science. APUSH is meh, not sure if i want to take it for college credits or go easy and go regular US history.

lol I'm the same as you right now. All ap classes next year.
And it depends on your views on each subject. I'm only hesitating to take ap english because I know there's a lot of annotating and crap. I don't think you'll struggle with APUSH if you're taking ap world/euro this year.

AP Biology is, at least in my area, one of the hardest classes content wise and workload wise.

If you are only taking it for the sole reason of getting it out of the way for college, you may want to reconsider it unless you have actual interest in the area.

APUSH=loads of memorizing
AP Bio=loads of memorizing
neither are "skill based" just memorizing stuff, so if you have time to memorize stuff, go for it

I took 4 my junior year plus another non-AP college level class.
You'll be fine.

Take the classes unless you have a horrible teacher. Ap classes can give you a high average if you do good.
