I have yet to meet a real friend
You know, someone that wants to be your friends just because you're you, and not the things you did.
Hbu guys?

I'm pretty lucky to have a close group of friends, about 4/5 of them that I trust with my life.
i had like 2.
Same here.
Funny, I met more genuine people online than IRL.
Hope to meet "real" friends some day... and a best friend, too.
@dontran18: Oh man, please don't close yourself from people. All people whether how fake they are, has something to offer in terms of personality. Be open minded, yet with a light conscious. Not all people are perfect, but that's where you learn most from. High school is where you really start stemming connections and college is where you can start to see your friends for life. Separate your first impressions on people from superficial observations.
And the reason why you might have separated from your 'real' friends might because of you, who didn't make a 'real-effort' to stay friends with them. That's not being real man. Even if it's Facebook or texting, I've been keeping up with most of my friends from elementary school throughout high school, and true some people I lost track of, but that's life, where it naturally filters out people who moved on too faster or slower than your pace. That excuse for your real friends being separated in starting in high school is pretty invalid.

@Rezoina
Haha thing is, they're fake. That's why i'm sorta anti social. Most of my real friends separated as we got into high school
Oh my, I thought these replies were all trolls...
Just be yourself really. If your personality isn't crazy, naturally people will gravitate towards you. In HS I kind of had the same problem, but I kept my distance from some of the really fake people who tried to know me only for what I did at school by just making my conversations with them dull. Unless you're some very sanctimonious figure in your school, it shouldn't be too hard to expel all the fakes you speak of.
I guess I got like, 3 real friends.
Braden, Ehren and Sleo!
My childhood friends, aren't even really that. They started talking to me in 8th grade which was 2 years ago. I had one friend throughout my elementary school, but now, he's vanished, he barely remembers me.
If he has moved around a lot then its hard to keep a friendship going
I could see why that can be difficult, but it's really a two-way street. If you're not going to put in the time to maintain your friendships, the other person won't either.
I don't see my high school friends often, but we still make sure to catch up with our lives and stay tuned.
Being with someone constantly/Liking things similar to someone else =/= "Real friendship"
Well, it was kind of implied that due to being around said someone constantly and liking the same things they do, you eventually develop into a real friendship.
OT: I have about 7 middle/high school friends who I am really close with, and would do anything for. Then there's my college friends, which is 6-7 more, plus my fraternity brothers... Hell, I even talk to some MS friends from 3-4 years ago, and we still share everything.
Seriously? How hard is it to maintain at least one real friendship though?
Didn't you guys grow up with childhood friends? Or have those buddies that you're always in the same classes/homerooms with? Or friends from clubs/sports? I just don't really understand the concept of going through life without real friends
What are friends?
Who needs a friend when all you ever need is the computer and the internet
