Permanent>Buffs
IMO, if it's permanent, it's worth it. I have permanent pets and they are so useful, even if they don't give you extra buffs.
Not worth, check out the backyard pet individual prices and you'll see that the Black Friday pet is pretty much the same price. It's not worth the price, but if you're trying to get perma pets and you like the moonbeam, I say get it.
