Exp Penalty removed, what about drop rates?
so like i plan to hunt stuff while doing the attendance quests. idk if the drop rate penalty still exist since it only mentions the exp part getting removed on the site.

il mainly be hunting for throwing stars and yellow recipes for smithing. i know stars arent affected since ive gotten ilbis from these lv119 vikings on a lv200 but idk about recipes (mainly yellow ones).
tldr: are drop rate for items suchas yellow smithing recipes affected by lv gap between mob and u?

its just the fact that when you hunt monsters lower than you, you get less exp. like when I randomly get bored and kill an orange mushroom i get 4 exp instead of the actual 10.

lololol yea true. i thoguht about this but what i still wonder is if:
- different item categories (use item, etc item, equipments, mesos) drop rates decrease as lv gap increases. so like for example use items might not be affected while equipments are affected by this penalty.
- or, even different *individual* items belonging to a same category (a red potion and an ABRecipe)
Well, i suppose one way to find out is to log on real quick, kill a low level enemy and see if it drops meso.
If it does...Hurrah, they got rid of the infernal drop rate penalty that hurts the legitimate more then the botters.
In the more likely case that it dosent...Welp, business as usual.

I didn't read your post but based on your title i'll answer:
No. Drop rate penalty doesn't get removed. Its to fight against hackers who bot day and night.
So any kind of drop pentalty, even mesos, won't get removed, Excluding the Etc item of course because thats for quests.

nono, drop rate penalty, as in liek decrease as ur lv gap goes bigger
i'm not sure, but considering how everyone stopped farming for abr's at MDTs, i'm assuming that recipes get affected by the drop penalty. I'm not sure about if that's going to change though.
