How do I build rep?
Starting in a new world world means starting with 0 reputation. I've gotten to a point where I'm selling items over max mesos and I don't feel comfortable doing trades with no collateral. There are big name people in Scania sure, but even then I don't feel comfortable paying 20b up front and then getting the item on the last trade. Also, I'm starting to get offers in NX on some of my items so how on earth are we supposed to do that trade? Nebs and no booms are also super unstable so that doesn't work either. The only choice I really have is building my own rep so I won't have to go first but I feel like that will be very hard lol. Sure I've bought NX from some people and they went first and I'm sure they'd be happy to vouch but it was only like 30k at a time. Someone offered 300k NX for my gloves and 150k NX for my belt and I don't know how to go about doing the trade. He said he'd be willing to go first if I had vouchers but as you can see, I don't.

@drager260: Sounds nice (: And I suggest updating your basilmarket character, you're no longer a Broa player, so it'll cause less confusion
For me I just got into a nice Alliance, so the threat to be kicked from it gave me some decent accountability.
From then on, I got Alliance vouches, and I'm doing alright now : 3
Building rep from nothing is hard. You gotta stay true and honest while you trade with others who were willing to go first on you.
I'd just try and get into a good guild, build up some guild contribution. Patience is key!
not suggesting but i've seen a lot of people new to my server just bribe noobs with items
the noobs don't realize it, they just think it's a friendly pro giving them stuff
they're usually happy to trust the guy
Honestly, It's all about how you interact with people. I am originally a Scania player, been in Scania since beta. Been an on and off player of course. I moved to Broa nearly 2 years ago with out any connections at all. Started off introducing myself to players i meet, and talked about my background, created some friendships. worked my way up. etc. started selling nx and attempt going first to leave a good image and deepen the reputation earned. Created a Guild and it's really successful now (: I dare say I'm an extremely trusted player now in Broa.
Yeah I have a few friends and I'm in the guild Detail now which is in Alliance with Influence so I suppose I'm on the right track.
Started from the bottom now you here.

join a well know popular guild and make friends, get your level up (no one is going to buy a 20b item or NX from a low level character), do a few smaller trades (to get some people to vouch for you in a SS), get some fame (idk if this works anymore but people with like 6000 fame might be more trustworthy then a person with -5 or something)
get involved with the right people somehow and try trading a lot with already well known players. you ll have to take risks by going first a lot. you wont ever build up rep over night. its a slow process especially for scania
i can vouch for u, am very reputable in scania
Kinda hard to build rep with only money, you gotta play the game with people, make connections, meet ppl, etc
Be like Drake.
Are you saying that you want to leave Scania and start anew in another server/alliance? Well, how did you make it in Scania?
No sir, I'm fairly new in Scania. Started maybe 3 months ago.
