Why wont my Dratinis get Marvel Scale?

I'm breeding a Multiscale male Dragonite with Dragon Dance and a Multiscale female Dragonite with Extreme Speed. I've bred 20 dratinis and all have been Shed Skin with Extreme Speed/Dragon Dance. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it?

I see you on in Pokemon. What are you doing at the moment? GTS? Wonder Trade?

Trade with me.

@DragonStrike: I have been going on in Pokemon but I see you are doing something (a chat balloon with 3 dots), so I can't do the trade and since I wasn't playing I just closed the 3DS. But I checked like 3-4 times.

And yes you can have them back. I cloned them so I can let my friend test them out too. I hatched so far 10 eggs and they all got normal ability lol.
Well one of the things I saw on the female Dragonite was...

Dragonite (F)
Egg Received 1/16/2014
Hatched: 2/16/2014
Location: Littleroot Town (in XY it would show Faraway Place)

OT goofy is playing on a 3DS which is 1 year behind? The game ORAS was released in November the 20th 2014 and Littleroot Town is your hometown in ORAS and the egg was received on January 16th and hatched one month later in 2014.

The male Dragonite is also from 2014 (I think this one is from XY since it shows Route 7 in both games XY and ORAS).

But I don't know if that would affect the breeding result though, seems weird. It could be something else. It's probably made with Pokehex the female one.

I went to brush teeth and then I came back online but your internet isn't working still? I tried to trade but no response. Probably glitched showing that you are still online. Trade you tomorrow or when you are available the next time.
@Hualicious: Ty! Are you able to rename Pokemon btw? LV. 100 was because 1.) OCD and 2.) in the rare instance anybody picks no restrictions anywhere, it'll work.
I can't rename Pokemons.
1) What does OCD stands for?
2) And yea I encountered few trainers who selected that rule but there aren't many players who do that. So you are better off having lv50s. Without any 'cheats' leveling every new Pokemon to lv100 is a bit too much. My first 6 that I bred from scratch I leveled them to 100 then I figured out they only had to be lv50 lol. From then on I get them to 50. It's better to have them on lv50 because of the stats are different compared to lv100, which is important when you allocate your EV.

Edit
The 2 dratinis you are going to trade me, I will test them tomorrow. And if you want them back, I will give them tomorrow back to you. I will go to sleep after the trade.

You went away from keyboard? I m trying to trade you lol.

I m going to sleep. Trade tomorrow or whenever you are available. Don't know how long I need to wait.
@Hualicious: Are you going to do all of those things? (First, just do what you feel like that I want on the Ferrothorn, and then we can do the other things.)
Yea, I will do your Ferrathorn. Gimme a few minutes.

Edit Something went wrong, reloading my backup save file atm.

Happened twice, so I applied the changes one at a time, so it took a bit longer. It was probably the EXP modifier that gave me the error. I picked the highest EXP modifier. Also why lv100? For online competitions you need to have lv50 Pokemons anyway.

@DragonStrike:

Edit I didn't expect you to be online and I didn't check Basilmarket. So we missed the opportunity. What is your IGN?
I do see one person online at the moment in my Pokemon game but not online in my 3DS friendlist though. Someone named ' ? ' in my Pokemon game list.

Nvm, it's you. I just compared the FC. You should have told me it was you. I did see you gave me a Nice but I didn't even know it was you.

I don't think I can edit your Pokemon with Pokehex but with PowerSaves I can. Not sure what you are doing right now on Pokemon.

Edit To edit them I will need some time. So be patient.

@Hualicious: Ah, I was wondering if you were doing that or PKHeX. I'm online now, can you do a bunch of stuff? I need my Ferrothorn's nature to Sassy, (and want it shinified), its Lv. to 100, and all IV's except Speed (leave this at 1) maxed. And my Dragonite from Jolly to Adamant, and its Lv. 100. If that's too much, you can leave out the shinification of Ferrothorn and the Dragonite in general. If you'd like to try breeding the 2 dragonites, I can lend them to you too.

@DragonStrike An accessories I use for 3ds, called PowerSaves. I can edit stats on Pokemon with it, it saves a lot of time when it comes to breeding.

@hualicious Added. The Dratini can be used online, and the 2 I am breeding are likely to both be legit. 1, I made. The other one is only 4IV and had a bad move set/Evs. Also, what are you using to change the nature?

That sounds way to odd to be a coincidence.. how did you end up with these two dragonites, might I ask?

Edit: I added you. We can probably trade during the weekend. If you can trade me 2 of the Dratinis you got problems with and I will try to breed them to see the results and I will change the nature on your shiny one. Your shiny Dratini is probably not even legit, there is a possiblity you can't use it in online competitions.

@DragonStrike:
That's very strange.
If you didn't release them yet, want me to try breeding these two and see if it happens to me? Let me know so we can add our friend code.
And I guess you are probably done with Dratini now.

@Hualicious: Both of them are Multiscale, I tried many times. I would like to solve this mystery but w/e, I tried breeding with a Ditto and most of them were Multiscale.
I don't remember the pokemon breeding meta anymore but wasn't there an item that guaranteed the offspring will have the parents' ability?
There is none for abilities. The items used for breeding in Gen6 are Destiny Knot and Everstone.

Destiny Knot = to inherit at least 5 stats from either parent
Everstone = guaranteed to inherit the nature from the Pokemon who is holding the Everstone

Weird. Maybe try an imposter ditto with a female that has the hidden ability.

@DragonStrike
If the male Pokemon has the Hidden Ability (HA) but the female has the normal ability, you will have to pair the male Pokemon with a Ditto in order to pass down the HA to their babies.
A male with HA paired with a female with normal ability will never pass down the HA to their babies.
If the female Pokemon has the HA you can pair it with any compatible Pokemons.

I think you might have used a female with no HA by accident. Mistakes happens a lot even I did things wrong before.

If you still need a Dratini, I should have plenty of them with HA and egg moves (extreme speed, aqua jet).

When I started to breed competitive Pokemon for the first time I had to learn from scratch (gen 6), I have never done it in older gen. My friend, brother and internet taught me how to breed Pokemon.
My first Pokemon I did was a Dratini. After a while I finally got the one I wanted to keep and use and it also happened to be my first 6iv Pokemon. I used this Dratini with charmander HA and eventually I had my 2nd 6iv Pokemon. I was actually aiming for 5 useful stats since 6 isn't always necessary.

Dratini is easy to breed while a Charmander is not, because of the gender ratio. Magikarp is a nice pokemon to start with breeding.

That's odd are you positive the female has the hidden ability? You could try the male with the ditto that work like 20% of the time. When I bread my dragonite 80% of the dratinies had the HA

Sorry for your loss. What game are you using? If you have both X/Y and ORAS, why don't you try breeding in a different game (if you haven't already).

Just unlucky. Trust me, I've bred countless of pokemon with HAs. Takes time and luck.

Pretty sure its the female that passes on the ability? Male passes on moves. I think in 6th gen they changed it so that males can pass on hidden abilities as well? If so just keep breeding, if not get a male with multiscale.

I'll trade you one if its that important, although I doubt it'll help, since you'll have to bred for stats and moves.
