Personally I prefer Marksman. I find it more enjoyable of the two, more or less because they have great Critical Damage which I love seeing 100% of the time with my Maxed Critical Rate.
I also believe Marksman are the kings of Mobbing right now in terms of the two since their 'Piercing Arrow' can do insane damage the more mobs there are grouped together. Then with the help of 'Arrow Illusion' (Puppet), it will pull everything nearby from both directions, attacking them and grouping them together for even more mobbing capabilities. Plus, being able to nail a clean 49m hit with Snipe just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. <3
Bowmasters on the other hand with their 'Hurricane' and 'Arrow Platter' skills make them the best at terms of 1v1. Aside from that I do not have much experience in their play past the mid 100s, so I can not give a more detailed insight in them.

marksman has ridiculous damage but is boring to me and some of the worst animations in the game.
Wow, such an original question. I can't seem to find any information about Marksman and Bowmasters! Not in the Bowman section, nope, not at all.
OT: Marksman is boring, just a straight line ranged hit throughout all the jobs. Go Bowmaster for fun.
