Did Maplestory change or did You?

Okay, I haven't played MS for a while, but I have some feelings that I would like to discuss.

And of course, Maplestory did change with updates, but that's not the 'change' I mean. I think most of you will understand what I mean.

I'm not a really old player, but I was playing a while before pirates.

I would get bored from the limited stuff there were. It wasn't really 'limited,' but I played so much that it just got repetitive. When new things came out, I liked them. But I played so much again and got bored. I had an on and off thing w/ MS. Back when the 'missing the old maple' thing started, I joined in. I think it's because we were so new to the game then and want that experience again of just loading Maple and hearing that wizet/nexon sound and then the peaceful login screen music. But now that I think about, I think I just changed my mindset from playing a lot. The updates made things interesting for me again.

That's some food for thought.

I've changed overall, but my taste in games hasn't changed much at all. Maple, on the other hand, has changed a lot.

The Victoria Island now is not the Victoria Island I fell in love with. Because of experience curves, third, and even fourth job, no longer feel like an accomplishment. The game is so much more centered around the Cash Shop now. The difference between the funded and the unfunded now feels like a light year. New events and quests are mostly old events and quests with a new coat of paint. The community, overall, feels more cold. Etc.

Both of us did.

But the only thing that happened to me was leg hair. Maplestory's whole PLAYSTYLE has changed.

This might be off topic, but because MS was my first MMORPG, and it was 2d, I can't appreciate 3d MMO's that much...
