So I was just hacked
I woke up this mornign to log into my account, only to find that the password was changed.
Now honestly, this was just my noob JETT with 10M on it and that's all they took, but the thing is, I only type my passwords with the onscreen keyboard, and my pin is fairly complicated. Even if I did download a keylogger how could this happen? My passwords for Maplestory is different than everything else, and when I access my email I also use the onscreen keyboard.

if you can't remove it did u back up ur computer on a external device like a flash drive r a external hard drive u can change everything back the way it was before u had the keylogger r u can re-download ur window7/windowxp/window vista if u did not lose the disk but i forgot the instructions for them. Also u can try system restore in safe mode when u start up ur computer press f8 r one of the f# buttons and choose safe mode also anti viruses work better when ur computer is in safe mode because safe mode shuts down everything ur computer does not need to run example- the internet, sound, wallpaper, etc. So if u cannot remove the malware with ur antivirus try it in safe mode if that does not work try system restore if that does not work then i hope u backed up ur comp somewhere
I suggest submitting a ticket as soon as possible.
Nexon has had notoriously bad customer service ESPECIALLY when it comes to tickets, but they can really help you if you submit a hacking ticket within 7 days of the incident.
Just make sure that you are very detailed in what happened, what exactly is missing, and try to give exact dates / approximate times if you can.
@PoepieFTW: are you asking me what? proof that all the hacked ppl never downloaded keyloggers? dont be ridicolous.
about the data leaks, so far only one it's been confirmed by nexon. that makes it a "decent proof" for you? do you really expect full infos bout whats happening/happened by nexon?really ?
but still, how do they hack inactive accounts?pretty please enlight me
@Crucibles they changed my pw and pic, and they still got in. i guess they even tried to cover up the evidence by deleting some of my emails

ususally when they change ur PW that means they couldnt get into ur account, now just go find ur email and change the PW then ur good.
this happened to me too.
@PoepieFTW: even old untouched since years accounts gets hacked, so be gentle to me and try to explain me how a keylogger can do that without being a nexonfanboy

Well it is my fault for downloading stuff, but if it was a database leak as the other guy stated then it is their fault

a program that is usually ran without your knowledge to take information based on what you type and sends it to another comp -> it logs keys-> keylogger

well I did download some stuff yesterday, thanks for the help, I guess I'll run a virus scan now
Well all you can say is at least it didnt happen to your better account(s) i only have one account so when that (this) one got hacked I freaked
