Pay to Win games are boring

I remember Maplestory's PvP and that was pretty fun. Your stats barely mattered and was more of a team effort game. That was the only thing that brought me back every day because Maple really has no point. You grind and grind and grind to lvl 200 than what? Make a new character and do that again? That's boring. Sure there are some hard bosses but you need to be funded to deal with them and once you kill them you're like "So I wasted all that time and money just to kill a boss that now since I beat once can beat over and over again?". In the end the only thing I still hold dear is the friends I made along the way. What I'm saying is that they should bring back PvP to Maple.

EDIT: I have quit, almost 3 years now. Please, stop suggesting I quit.
i always hated pvp
they shouldve just expanded cpq to higher lvls and make that the main way to "battle" people
cpq was prob my favourite part of maple
CPQ was pretty fun, but I found that it favors the more funded and mobbing class and had no mind games as PvP required.
I myself found the eggs kicked ass in PvP. You throw an egg and bam insta-lock on and you could just chase the guy until you kill him. I think the sairs are the most underrated 1v1ers. When a group comes at you, you better run. This method worked before we got our ships taken away and I mostly played in 30-70's because I never got to lvl 200 to unlock all my Corsair skills.

And yes for awhile until the second PvP update mages were a bit too strong, but funds really didn't matter. I wore only a T-shirt to battle most of the times.
I was kinda weak compared to others and my laptop lagged. Laggy eggs weren't effective against power guard with magnet pull and rush, teleport and chain lightning, and Flash Jumpers. Dangerous when NLs used Shadow Web from behind. I resorted to kill stealing and camping with buffs to be placed 1st most times. Octopi was cute. Demon Slayer was OP when they came out also. It was fun.

@Duckynater: I was like the only Aran in PvP. And certainly the only bear! !

I said every has their own opinions, respecting your choice but not agreeing with it. Please refrain from pointless arguments on the internet. And I find that the challenge of PvP is more rewarding to me to win against others and maintain good K/D, rank is just a number.

Ranks? I play for ranks and so do others.
Sounds like a meaningless experience to me, but to everyone their own I guess.

Ok I really need to edit my post. As I have stated before I have quit for almost 3 years. I now fully enjoy my life playing Halo and other games on my console.
ok i meant the "grand battle" one which was the one where everyone's damage was not equalised, and potentials counted etc. in this one i think you spawned in the middle of the battle, and there was only one battle ground. in that one you got battle emblems for time spent and many people just placed a wieght on their attack key to collect emblems
Oh, well that's not the PvP I want back. Sounds rather boring even though I never had a chance to play it.
I would like to hear what those activities are so I can come back. And by the way I am almost 3 years quit, I posted that above, you might not have seen.

I thought you always spawned in that one platform above everyone else so you can't hurt others and others can't hurt you. If there was another PvP update that I missed that I do mean the "first" PvP where we spawn on the platform. I am quit certain that there was like a PvP update that for awhile PvP was taken down for a bit to be improved and brought back, but even then we still spawned on those platforms.

Sorry almost 3 years quit of Maple, not caught up to current date info exepct for the fact that we still don't have PvP.

With all these new classes with truly OP'd attacks range, attack damage, attack lines, mobility, and all those other factors, I have no hope in them bringing PvP back because it would never be balanced.
It was a lovely memory, but you gotta get used to the idea that PvP is long gone from Maplestory.
I'm not certain, but I think we faced off a couple of times in PvP. And I haven't seen the new classes but I'll take your word.
second round pvp sucked. you went in and there wwere a few people who put a weight on their attac key.
you killed that perosn a few times. then you went to a map where an overpowered person was waiting all day to kill you
the end

original was the best and they should bring it back
I'm sorry should say I have for almost 3 years. Good run don't get me wrong, but I'm more of a competitive player so I've been playing Halo.
