NexonGuard.aes Missing
I recently got this error when I system restored my laptop. The exact text is: Cannot find 'NexonGuard.Aes'. Please, re-install this application. I am currently redownloading maplestory and hoping this will work. I tried manual patching but the manual patch keeps getting stuck while creating base.wz. If anyone knows anything about this problem that would be a great help thanks .

All you really need to do is redownload the game.

Finish at step 6. But I'm warning you, this will only work until 2 new patches have been executed.
Then this will be of no use to you.
