How do you feel about death

Or more aptly, how do you feel about being alive? The experience of being alive after someone close to you has died is what destroys me. I spend so much time looking at the future that when the present suddenly hit me, it felt like my stomach was tearing apart. Whether I could expect it or not.

I'm not the kind of person who is afraid of his own death. I'm afraid of being alive to see the deaths of my loved ones. I'm afraid for the people I'll be burdening with a similar grief when I die. I'm afraid of the fact that both of these things are inescapable, and that I'll have to relive these feelings many more times than I'm comfortable with.

Maybe I should just become a hermit and forget relationships altogether.

I find it rather interesting... I don't like the idea of death but the lack of information surrounding what it's like to experience it intrigues me and summons questions from me, like; "if we go to heaven what is it like?", "If we just die, and get eaten by worms, and narrow down to merely an atom with degradation overtime, what is it like to be that atom, can we even know what we are, what's it like to be without intelligence, to be without eyesight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell, do we even exist?" and "If we don't exist, what is it like to not exist?"

There's so much more questions too, guess that's the price of being agnostic, i'm just hoping one day we can be brought back, I already know we can become immortal(more or so not dying from aging), it's just not the easiest thing, scientists are already working on it too, zombies are probably a long-stretch for now though.

@upcomingnerd not saying it's funny like "wow it's funny we're such stupid humans to care and have funerals, we should all stop that and become edgy nihilists," i just think it's legitimately tickling that we run expensive errands for dead people and get other people to do the same for ourselves

@upcomingnerd anything's funny if you can write a good joke about it
and sometimes i just find it funny that we're here and we care about and build up all these things but it always vanishes in the end.
also for some reason we care so much about people even after they die and we care about what happens to us after we die
there's a dead body that's not that person anymore, just some flesh, but we still arrange a funeral for it and run errands for it or else we'll feel guilty just cause the corpse looks the same as the person
