Basil VS Religion
what's up with basilers being so impassioned to spread their religious or non-religious beliefs?
honestly, just let people believe what they want. Atheists claim that they find it annoying when Christians(or other religions) try to force their beliefs upon them, but Atheists do it just as much as they do.

Also, I sit next to an obnoxious Atheist in one of my classes who is always advocating the stupidity of a belief in God. Seriously, it is just as annoying when people come to my house trying to have me join their church.

It's not even a real religion. It's just a way of thinking that says everyone should believe what they want to believe. Why force something upon someone else, if the beliefs they have already make them happy?

Make a rule against religion threads please they piss me the hell off
religion, homosexuality, politics, war, abortion, animal rights, etc are all very popular debate topics; but it just seems that basilers are more aware of religion so they just tend to pop up more than the other topics do.

I believe in God, just not in religion. Why? God is the only possible explanation for everything being created. Religion is variable and debatable.

Some atheists are stupid but at least there are none of them flying planes into skyscrapers or shooting at abortion doctors with shotguns in the name of atheism.

I'm a Buddhist. I practice with other Buddhists that are very tolerant of others. I don't think we've ever tried to prove anyone wrong on their beliefs and we've certainly never tried to convert anyone. At the fundraiser or family events we have, I think only half of the people that come are actually Buddhist, but we don't mind. xD
Edit: But yeah, some people just really like their beliefs in a way where they think it's necessary to change the opinion of others. Good for them if it makes them happy, but meh, seems like too much work. xD
