Screen

Screen

This is my office computer on my desk. It's not great (at all) but I get paid to sit at it and browse the internet when I am not teaching or grading. My home PC is much more awesome but I've grown attached to this outdated machine.

Fun fact: I'm now officially a professor

In Long Island you say? My family owns a manor out in Livingston. (: Being decendents of Phillip/Robert Livingston sure has it's ups. But Long Island is a nice place. Who knows, maybe we've seen each other and we never knew.
On the screen? Her camera's shutter speed was probably different than the monitor's refresh rate. The camera can see things the human eye can't.
Let's assume that the frequency is 60Hz.

We know that f=60Hz, we want to find the maximal shutter speed T. We also know that T=1/f.

This gives us:
T=1/60s wich is pretty normal for a camera.

Those kinds of monitors are what I prefer to play Maple on! LED monitors seem laggy to me >.<

I remember back in primary school when we had computers similar to that, except they were Acer ones (well Acer big box monitors at least). Man, I'd be kinda freaked out if a teacher buddied me...especially when its a teacher that personally teaches me!...imagine the nagging before exams.
im surprised ur school is low funded. my school just got new macs o.o
Different departments get different amounts. My department is so underfunded, we pretty much rely on fund-raising. Plus, we got our school budgets slashed to pieces.

Legally deaf. I can still somewhat hear and I can read lips extremely well. I'll be getting a hearing aid mid next year thankfully though!

My school was pretty well funded until this year lol. Most public school fundings for us were cut off =O We still have nice comps though, all 3gb ram dells with flatscreen monitors and they're upgrading them all to windows 7. I tried checking the other specs but the librarian yelled at me before and I never bothered with the ones in class.

I'm lead TA for my department so I am entrusted with classes and stuff. Sadly, my department is very, very low on funds thanks to the budget issues at my school.
