What should my debate topic be? I need to write a persuasive essay on some sort of topic. My English teacher said anything except legalization of marijuana and abortion was fine to write about :D But I'm not sure what I should use :( At the moment I have a few potential topics: The U.S. should not have a draft for military service. Life in prison is a greater punishment than the death penalty. Reading philosophy has a negative impact on a child growing up. (not sure about this one, don't really have any supports) If anyone could help me with supports on these topics or suggest a topic I should do, that would be great!
