Continue on Thunder Breaker or make new bucc

So im trying to decide between continuing on my old lv80 thunder breaker or starting a brand new bucc.

Are pirates easier to level and deal with now that the revamp is here? Is it worth it to make a bucc instead of continuing on my tb? Do tb's miss out on much compared to buccs?

My tb's equips are all clean btw.
