will there be a Pokemon Emerald remake?
Title
so ORAS came out less than a year ago i believe and i bought it days after it came out but since i had played my sapphire version before i bought ORAS i was all tired out so i got as far as fighting Groudon and i didnt touch the game till a few days ago when i restarted my save file and im almost at the Elite 4 and as far as i know Battle tower isnt in the game as well as other stuff that Emerald had. ive been out of the loop and im not talking about rumors but has anything been confirmed, i used google but a bunch of old posts showed up. i know that HGSS didnt get a Crystal remake but there are some stuff in ORAS that kinda hint towards an Emerald remake but that just seems unlikely to me

Pretty sure we won't get an Emerald remake, otherwise there'd be no point of including the Delta Episode in ORAS, which is primarily about Rayquaza and its Mega-Evolution.
I could see them making an "enhanced" version for Kalos, like Pokemon Z . Highly doubt they will remake Emerald since they added those Delta stories into ORAS. It's kind of like how with HGSS they added plot from Pokemon Crystal which would make it pointless to remake.
I haven't been following anything Pokemon-related for a while, but shouldn't there normally.be some info about an upcoming game around this time already? I actually do hope there will be some sort of compensation from Gamefreak for leaving out the whole Battle Frontier. If it was included in ORAS I probably would still be playing it.
We aren't getting a new pokemon game this year sadly so that's likely why we haven't heard anything about the next game which will likely be the Zygarde game.

We need pokemon Z to come out
Its interesting that they finished remakes of the gameboy games now the next generation is D/P/Pt which was on the nintendo DS. I am curious how they are going to outdo themselves with a game that already has good graphics and wifi capabilities?
no, because you can already catch rayquaza in ORAS!
In the original Sapphire and Ruby games, you could catch Rayquaza, yet they still made Emerald. so what is that statement supposed to mean?
although, I doubt they'd waste money and time developing a new Emerald because of how similar it will be to ORAS, and Battle Frontier alone wont justify the price of a brand new game unless they sell it at a lower price. They're better off making a Battle Frontier dlc.
I doubt it. The remakes usually already incorporate the features of the 3rd game.
What we really need is a pokemon game on the Wii U to make up for the crappy pokemon games on the Wii. We already know that Nintendo can make good stuff like pokemon stadium and colosseum.

Battle Frontier 2.0 please
HGSS did get a crystal remake. It was a remake of all 3 games.
They might be planning something bigger than Emerald remake. No DLC's of course and no Battle Frontier. In an interview with the person who made ORAS ( i think it was someone else idk) he said that players would not like Frontier so they didn't make it.
As everyone has said its highly unlikely, and nothing has been confirmed but there are a bunch of rumors/speculations online but they are rumors and nothing more
my bet is on them starting on 7th Gen and announcing it withing the next year and a half maybe, i doubt they'll make a Z version, an Emerald remake or a new 6th gen version because they dont seem necessary but hey if it brings in money they just might
IMO if they do make another 6th gen game i'd want it to be RBY remake, i know they already did it for 3rd gen and somewhat in HG/SS but id like to have the Kanto region in full 3D and with the special/physical split
also they need to hurry up and make a pokemon game that has all the regions, multiple save slots and customizable stuff. they would make bank off of that game
a third version usually just improves the first two
encompassing a third installment into hgss would be redundant since the entire crystal plot is squished in the main game
the same goes for yellow since the only major mechanic it brought was pikachu (which, tbh was partially covered in hgss and oras with cosplay pikachu)
despite emerald's major differences between the two main game, knowing nintendo's pattern, i highly doubt there will be a remake; what features aren't remade will return in other main games
I highly doubt it, but who knows.
Probably not.
