Help with hard mode gollux as a phantom

Any phantoms out there that has solo'ed hard mode gollux before? -Need some tips/ stratagies.
So ive been using arrow platter off the bat before i jump in and miles away. The problem comes in when im trying to re-set up my platter but by the time i do, gollux turns around i get hit by his breath. It literately wrecks my rhythm. Would it be better to just use an attack boosting skill or a hero's orbs rather than to use arrows?

edit: My clean range is 175k but im 422k buffed. Hope this helps.

@CherryTigers: question, since iive never tried hell gollux, and dont stand on the right side to attack... do the arms attack you when you're attacking the eyes?
i wanna practice standing in the middle spamming mille for hell, but i dunno if i can have a chance if arms attack. I have the worlds slowest reaction time ever LOL
Another note, in case anyone was not aware, when you are killing the eyes, cast your turret on the bottom like @CherryTigers said, teleport back up, and just wait until right after gollux does his blue full map attack. right after he does it, drop down and drop a turret, tele up again
you will ALWAYS have enough time to drop down, cast and get back up. of course your turret is never up for the full 30 seconds but it will always be there killing the mobs, and you wont have to worry about dying when you go to place a new turret

make sure its right after just ONE of the blue attacks. your turret will expire before he attacks again.

good luck~
Ah, you're right. I should mention that. Very important to note that definitely for hard and hell mode. Thank you.
@CherryTigers: wow, very thorough! Two probs though. One, when the jaw dies, and i get up to the second platform, and use prenombre to get as far left as possible, i still got hit by his demon cry and die. is this just a glitch and i got very unlucky? and Two, even if i do kill the jaw, i there a way of dodging his demon cry when it is just his forehead or do i have to killhim before he uses it?
It requires practice to dodge them all. Here's a video of Ayo dodging and soloing hell mode.

You haven't practiced enough. First of all, you can even jump --> and summon arrow platter in mid air, and flash jump <-- all in one motion. You need more practice.
Gollux gives you enough time so that you can even do 2 buffs before he turns and attacks you again. I could re-summon three arrow platter turrets in that time.

Also, hero's orbs are no longer steal-able.

Finally, here's a copy + paste from my guide. This is the highest DPS and the best way to do it. Using arrow blaster and pausing to attack the mobs will reduce DPS. Using Mille + final cut is the best way because you do not have to stop attacking. Realize, using a mobile skill will allow you to simply and casually walk and slip between every attack he does. Using arrow blaster will just make you stand still and be a sitting duck for every attack he throws at you.
Now as for gollux, I'm someone who has been doing hard gollux daily, as well as attempting hell gollux from time to time.
Here is what I came up with as the best possible way to take them out:
First of all, make sure to switch to "Heal" as your second job skill. Gollux has a potion cooldown but in case you get hit, you can just "heal" instead.

Second of all, note that if you kill the abdomen vs killing a shoulder, gollux uses a different set of moves. I won't get into much detail on this, but just kill the shoulder. It will make your life much easier.

Third. Make sure you are engaging Gollux like such: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DW5kADtLzs8 This is an excellent corsair gollux tutorial.
With mille, you can walk around and since mille is a mobbing attack, any of the mobs will be killed.
Just as another side... Reading what you're saying. You get popped..? Not entirely sure what you mean by that. All I will say is the only time you want to do things such as charge final cut, buff, or even use your level 170 ultimate hyper skill is IMMEDIATELY AFTER he uses his breath. There will be enough time for you to actually rebuff or even use your full map hyper skill attack.

Now to kill the boss:
For his jaw, use final cut + mille. Note that mille is a mob skill, and as such, it will automatically hit the mobs as they walk closer towards you. Ignore the mobs and focus on staring at his head. The mobs will auto die basically as they walk into your mille attack.
When his jaw is 75% dead, switch from final cut to arrow blaster. Use the remaining bit of final cut left to kill the jaw. Do not kill the jaw until the 30 sec cool down is up so you can set your arrow blaster turret.
//Just a side note: while switching from final cut to arrow blaster, you might find yourself in a bad situation where gollux is about to use his breath on you. Use penombre to get out of the way.//
Set the turret on the left side of his jaw and finish his jaw.
As soon as the jaw is dead, use the center portal quickly OR just flash jump to the far left of the map.
Go up on the center portal and run to the side so he cannot hit you. Your arrow platter blaster will kill the monsters on the bottom so they cannot auto-death you after 5 counts.
Go on the side and take out gollux's eye using arrow blaster while standing as far away as possible.
If 30 secs run out, jump down and re-cast arrow platter from where you stand.
WHEN YOU JUMP DOWN YOU DO NOT NEED TO MOVE. Jump down, re-cast arrow platter turret, and use phantom teleport to teleport directly up from you where you jumped down.
repeat until eye is dead.
Forehead gem, straight forward. Take it out fast.

With practice, you can kill hard gollux without ever being hit, and if you have enough DPS, you can even kill him before you run out of MP so you can do a perfect run without even having to use a single potion.

Best of luck to you. Private message me if you have more questions.
Platter is the best thing to have in gollux. I set up platter on one side where the monsters spawn, then jump into the middle and use platter. Penombre is your best friend in gollux if you time it right. You can use it to dodge attacks and re set up your platter.
You can kill left arm, and set up turret on the right side and platter on the left, and you get the mobs and head
This is exactly what I do and I always clear it like this unless I d/c in the middle of the run.

The only downside is that sometimes, even when I'm on the side that his arm should not be able to attack, the hand will still come up and kill me anyways. It rarely happens, though.
What does killing the shoulders/abs do (other than making him easier ofcourse).
Killing the abs doesn't allow him to use this suction technique of his. I find it quite annoying as a DB.

instead of double platter, you can just do Turret+Mille or Turret+Mille/Platter. platter immediately after he attacks and occasionally swtich to Mille when you expect him to attack again (and obviously move).
or just double platter and move more often

set the arrow platter closer to his head instead?
