Not much halloween going around

I've seen so much different houses with so much decorations of cobwebs
witches, scarecrows, etc way back.
In 2011 there were rarely any houses with decorations and treats, mostly all
Houses lights were either off or had the "No candy, go away!" sign.
Now I see only one house with decorations and other goods..

It's only mine
Halloween isn't fun anymore, now that people chasing you with kid-proof chainsaws were made illegal.
In fact, not a lot of people even see Halloween as scary anymore, it's all about little kids getting candy..
True, but most teenagers/kids/adults 'Trick' instead of treating this holiday, it's the fun that counts right?

OT : I guess Halloween is not what it used to be since technology started going more advanced and what not

My neighbors are always decorating for Halloween. Even my doors and windows are decorated

If people shiver at the sight or mentioning of human skeletons, demons, and ghastly creatures every day besides October 31, I do not see why they would use them in a festive nature at all. I'd be glad if the "holiday" did not exist.

People are getting less festive. I used to love going to trick or treat, but my little brother who is ten would rather sit at the house and play video games instead of going out. It's kind of sad.

i celebrate halloween by going to a friends house to watch scary movies until 1 of us is just at the point where we want to kill the other for talking to much

It is kinda sad that less people take part in decorating and celebrating the big holidays
