I don't mind the silent video ads that just do their thing, and support the site I'm browsing.
But when I'm silently reading late at night or trying to watch anime and an ovebearing MYEHMYEHMYeH QUILTED NORTHERN is suddenly blasting out of my speakers, I get annoyed.
I want to support the sites I browse, but eff.
**** you, Quilted Northern. I'm going to go out of my way to buy any product other than yours because of the annoying way you advertise.

Well they need to make money some how... Who knows, that's a form of advertising. Ads in general are annoying but you still have to deal with it.
