Black Heaven Boss Tips for Aran?

I'm having a ridiculous amount of trouble with the final boss of Black Heaven. I'm not quite funded or unfunded, sitting at a measly 135k unbuffed at lvl 153. Seeing as most of the Black Heaven content was a cakewalk, I assumed that this story line was supposed to let even unfunded players enjoy. It seems this boss is just awful for Aran. My Final Blows queue up if I use more than once so the actual mechanics of fighting are a pain, and I hardly get to hit her with all her knockbacks. My status resistance with full combo is just 64%, so getting stunned once after being frozen for a second by her knockback basically leads to inevitable death. A single death leads to 4 more as I can't get drain up so I can't sustain at all (+ without combos my resistance is only 14%! ;_. I made my Aran on Sunday so I'm pretty new to the class. Can anyone provide me with tips on how to beat Lotus?

Just to chip in, I managed to defeat Lotus on my third try on my Level 129 Aran with about 30 seconds remaining. My Aran is completely unfunded and my attack range is very horrible (29k max when buffed)

The time consuming part is really the last (3rd form) of Lotus. Lotus has that very annoying knockback attack and loves to attack you on background from time to time. I wasted close to 20 minutes just on this last form.

My advice (assuming you want to challenge Lotus without nerfing):

* Try to pin Lotus in either corner. He is less likely to move around when cornered. Also if you and Lotus faces the corner chances are his knockback attack won't knock you anywhere.
* Make sure to keep your attack buff, Pole Arm Booster, and Combo Drain up at all time. Forget about Body Pressure on this fight.
* Use good potion, and lots of them. I'm using Ginger Ale (can be bought from New Leaf City).
* On the last form watch out the giant robot falling and the background attack. Both deals heavy damage and you will be stunned from the giant robot.

To be honest had I know you can nerf Lotus intentionally I would have done it too. Nexon definitely made Lotus too challenging in this Black Heaven story.
Lol, I made my aran in like late 2009 or something and I have a ~40k range with noob equips from years ago. I am still able to kill this boss LOL !
And your 130k range ..... Lool... I'm level 18x though ...
I got through it eventually haha. I never did any bosses above Horntail so I never had to deal with a mobile boss with these kinds of attacks. After ~3 more tries after saying I'd just fail til I get offered to skip I got through it. I was also using 3k HP pots instead of PE's when I had 30k HP so changing that helped me some

They made Black Heaven's final battle a bit ridiculous, I agree. Even having forms 1 and 2 would have been enough for most characters to handle at 150.

Fortunately, since Black Heaven is story-driven content, pretty much any stage of it can be skipped or at least made easier. In the case of Lotus, it's nerfing... you do have to defeat him. However, nerfing Lotus makes him considerably easier and beating him will be completely possible.

So, to nerf Lotus, you need to die. A lot. Lucky for us, we can just play in the laser beams in Lotus' first form to die extremely fast. So, die about 20-30 times (aka: fail 4-6 times) and, before entering to fight Lotus, the prompt will have changed to "Use electrical wires to weaken Lotus?". When saying "yes" now, it'll ask you twice if you're sure you want to weaken him. When you say "yes" all the way through, they'll nerf him substantially. Among the nerfs...
-Significantly less HP in all forms.
-Less damage in all forms.
-No potion delay in all forms.
-1 less laser in 1st form.
-Will not drop large robot that does heavy damage and stuns in all forms.
-Will not cause extreme knockback with wire attack in 2nd and 3rd forms.
-Will not jump into the background and do the barrage attack in 3rd form.

Ultimately, it makes the 3 forms pretty easy (though the 1st form's lasers might sting a bit).

Little thing to note that Lotus does no touch damage whatsoever in any form... making Body Pressure for Arans... kind of redundant.

Best tip ever. Will start on it asap. Thanks! I would still like to know how others do it so I can better understand how to play aran though.
