In need of sai tutorials

So I made this drawing that I made of my character but I just can't stand to make lineart for it. I need some other method that's really simple for beginners to use (since I'm that much of a newbie). When I look up paint tool sai tutorials on youtube, I get spammed with speed paints. When I look up tutorials on deviantart, there's loads of 'how to draw' kinda strips. o.o
I've been using a mouse for the entire time, so quick strokes aren't easy with me. Lineart's been disproportional with me, since I could never get it smooth. No matter how much points I put it, it's usually lumpy and I don't know how thick the lines should be, or if it should have lines at all.

Can anyone help or give some advice?

a mouse has only two options, ON or OFF 100% pressure.

the best you can do with a mouse is cell shading in terms of coloring, such as cartoon 2 shades.
photoshop being the easiest program to color with it

unless... you like blurry and rough gradient mixing, you can always stick to sai and practice blur-Rism with the mouse.

Oh.. o.o
Damn, I'm confused.. I'll start learning the basics of photoshop and sai and things like that with some youtube videos.
And I'll try out some mouse only things for a bit to see if it'll fit with me I guess.

Don't practice with a mouse. It will literally do absolutely nothing for you in digital art, aside from learning the basic tools and functions of SAI and Photoshop. There's definitely ways to paint with a mouse, especially since it's pretty easy doing block-blend painting (block in solid colors then blend them in), but you'd spend 10x more time trying to get the same result as compared to a tablet.

Practice traditional. Learn basic proportion. Learn gesture and poses. You don't need digital to showcase your art online. Learn to make broad strokes so your lines aren't so sketchy, that will help when you get a tablet as well.

Utilizing the digital painting software really only makes things faster. But since making things faster is a very desirable goal, it'd be nice to know all the functions and basics of photoshop, sai, and whatever other program you'd want to use. I personally only know a small amount of photoshop, but everything I learned, I learned slowly. You don't necessarily need all those functions, I find that I only use maybe one or two tools in general over a period of time, but it's nice to have them at your disposal.

I have to practice both?
Waitwait, as in one part doing -traditional and learning basics- or -traditional and actual digital art-.
How do I practice both? Is it with a mouse..?
Eh.....

Okay mixed opinions. Uh.
You guys are really helpful, and I guess I'll just slink back to traditional art. The lineart actually took me 30 minutes to do, which now that I think about it, it'll be a pain to do if I keep it up with a mouse. Thanks for the compliment though .
Maybe I'll get a tablet somewhere in the future if I'll save up some money but for now, I'll practice more on proportions. I wish I would know more on how to use sai or any digital art program overall, since I got tons of ideas on papers to use up..

Honestly, if you absolutely can never afford a tablet, or if you have no intention of spending $150 ish for one, then I'd use Photoshop for all. Painttool SAI is only more powerful than Photoshop in terms of painting power and blending ability when you have a tablet and pen to work with. If you are looking to improve your drawing skills and you are planning on getting a tablet some time in the future, I'd just work purely on traditional art until then. Ask yourself this: Are you doing the digital part just so you can appeal to basil more? Doing digital art with a mouse will not improve digital art with a tablet, so it's no head start or anything.

Stabilizer does not work for mouse

OT: I suggest you just continue with your traditional art until you obtain a tablet. You will waste a lot of time trying to perfect lineart with a mouse, and although some people can do it, the ultimate results are far more time consuming and far less desirable than tablet-based work. You would make far more progress improving artistic abilities and then taking up the tablet.

SAI is not a very good program for vector art. You would be more accurate would have less lines using Photoshop. SAI is really for people with tablets. There's no way or shortcut to make those lines non-lumpy unless you just continuously work at it in multiple angles and eventually get it right.
