How do you guys do it?
So. This is probably my fourth time getting back into maplestory. However, this is probably my first time debating whether I should even go back or not.
The main issue is that: I love the explorer classes. but i feel like i'm getting ripped off whenever i'm trying to.. well play the game in general.
To be honest, i've never made it past 3rd job. My highest level character being 107 and all. And the main reason I quit was because I'm working my butt off grinding at spots that are infested by every other class that can easily out farm me, and really the only way i can grind at ease is at 3 in the morning when no one else is online.
It's been about a year since I last played. Can someone please just update me how the game's changed since then, or really answer my question.
What's the point of playing an explorer other than just for the sake of originality. They level slower than everyone else, and really they only become popular in demand if they reach 4th job. Hopefully the game has changed the imbalances by now, but please post.

Hey if you want we can play together in Broa? I just really want to start fresh in a different world for some reason and I already have a level 79 thunder breaker and the highest I've only gotten to was 110 on my ice lightning in beta cuz j character hop Alot and get distracted buy really cool high level characters as well so I decided to make that char anyways if I go to Vera I o my hav my tb so j will get the blessing and I won't be able to character hop

I don't let myself get distracted for too long when it comes to new classes, and I've never been the type to look at other classes as OP. Honestly, I sometimes see myself as stronger than most people my level under 4th job. Another immediate perk for me as an explorer is shareable/perm NX.

This is my only character, I've played it for like 8 years. I'm only lv142
I hate grinding.
I like to craft, merch, get good equips, pq and merch.
Right now, I am trying to get my pocket equip with charm.
Then I am going to try and get dragonPQ boxes to obtain and upgrade the dualbowgun to a dragonic one
They JUST released the Thief Revamp and they're coming out with the Pirate Revamp soon, so if you hold any love for those class trees I would suggest making or continuing your thief/pirate character.
grinding isnt so bad, people just dont have the patience for it, maple isnt just about getting to 120+(it is now 99% of it though >_> theres a lot of other things you can do, but like i a lot of people dont have the patience for it
if its all about grinding and lvling for you, then yeah the original explorer will be your downfall. i made a ua cause i like the class but with an extra kick ( vampire and darkness). he hasnt been too bad. and if you plan on working on your original characters i would recommend the fighter > sader > hero. i have a hero that i made b4 BB came and afterwards it was well worth it. and the things that have changed is that there are new mobbers out there such as cs, ds, merc, and jett which are all fun but get a bad rap cause the only people that still play them are butt monglers that like ksing people for the lols.
