lets have a thread for typically girly stuff

(not that u have to be a girl 2 enjoy it, these things are awesome and fun for everyone imo and there is 0% wrong with liking "girly" stuff)
i feel like i never have any room to discuss feminine stuff on here i get that basil probably has more dude users but still...

i organized my makeup drawer tonight and it's getting like really full again but full of stuff i Actually Use, and i'm so proud of myself! but it's making my perfume collection look so sad , i have like 7 fs perfumes & 4 minis & 5 sample vials , i only really wear one or two of them but uhhh i have the itch to spend more. i really want to try holy diver from bath sabbath b/c it sounds right up my alley and i could totally justify it right...my bfs birthday is coming up soon i could just get him beard oil and woops just happen to throw in holy diver... lol. i also want more flowery stuff, right now most my stuff is gourmands and weird stuff like mud. i have a violet one that is ok and a rose one i really like. i got a sample of an amber scent cause i thought that was the note i really liked in another perfume, but it's so cloying holy crud.

i bought a flat iron today! i got a babyliss because i'm horrible with money but it came w a 4 year warranty so that;s...decent right... and it was 20% off. there was a cheaper chi next to it but it looked kind of...eh.

my new goal in life is to dress like claire underwood from house of cards and also to stop biting my nails so it won't be a total waste to get them done.

also i really need to pluck my brows right now but i'm putting it off because i am a wimp and it makes my eyes water.

the soap bar i'm using right now has bits of roses in it and it is amazing. i took a bath the other day w/goats milk & rose bath salts and it was soo good , i had a cup of russian caravan w/me while i was in the bath and it was so relaxing i'm so good to myself.

i made bread last night & i had extra dough so obviously i stuffed it with raspberries and chocolate & whipped up some cream for on top..... so good i still have some left actually i think i'm going to have that for dessert in a bit.

tell me about your girly side, basil!

I can never wear the same dress twice. If i do, it has to have been a long time; like, two years minimum. And uh, I really don't know how to wear makeup but I do love nail polish. I haven't painted my nails in ages.

@fakestories: see thats what i'm scared of with velvet teddy hence why i haven't ordered it online... omg i hopped on the train bleu train so long ago and i love it in my bedroom and then i walk outside and i'm like NOPE CAN'T DO IT. fast ride is gooorgeous though wow. don't judge me but i have been luuusting after kvd's lolita (old formula), i think i heard the old is coming back and i'm PUMPED but also don't want to buy it because of how the train bleu bandwaggoning went for me.

@evyxx: uahah if you don't usually wear bolder colors, i'd definitely recommend a gradual transition. i'm currently wearing Nars fast ride and i'd say it's a nice in between my natural lip and a deep tone (it looks a lot lighter once you apply it) i wish i could pull off velvet teddy, but it just pales me out ; ;

@fakestories: i also have not shaved my legs in ages woop woop. rebel is gooorgeous , i need to pay a visit to a mac counter sometime soon and pick up velvet teddy. i'm so bad at wearing ~bolder colors out. and i mean yeah you might not find anyone as fab as you for a really long time but its not a sentence to being alone forever just cause you know 100% whoever youre with aint perfect, its all about havin a good time

@Collee: same i just threw out a black lipstick i'm pretty sure i got at hot topic in middle school? swag. i have fairly thin hair and it's mostly straight so i'm wondering if i should have went with something cheaper buuut i really like my babyliss so far, it controls the frizz and fluff (i have basically a lions mane day of and after its washed). chi seem really good too but ive never used em. i almost went with a ghd but i think the reason i liked them is they .... look nicer than the babyliss i got, but that's not a reason to pay $100 more for it yknow?. ahhh what is your ~style?

I want to participate in this thread, but I haven't done anything recently that I would consider particularly girly.
- i'm about to fall into a deep depression because i've somehow convinced myself i'm never going to find the perfect mate (romantic or platonic) because i'm too snooty to settle for any less than my expectations
- i opened + used my new dior overcurl mascara today, and decided my next lipstick purchase is gonna be mac's rebel
- i haven';t shaved my legs in god knows how long and they still feel smooth af
@Shir: SOUNDS LOVELY ! homemade or bought? i am so scared to make a mask at home even though they sound pretty safe haha.

@icemage11: haha my makeup collection really isn't THAT big it's just a lot considering i threw a lot of stuff out and focused on quality a year or two ago, it's been steadily growing and i didn't realize how much i had collected since destashing. my brows are horrible right now and there's even like 2-3 hairs in the middle, i cry. i feel you on clothes... wanna hear something funky? i've been getting more in shape lately and lost a bit of weight (160lb to currently 130) and the weirdest thing happened....my shoe size completely changed. so i've got a giant trash bag full of size 9's i used to wear comfortably and only a few pairs of the 6.5's i wear now. i can't bring myself to throw them out, it's like 10+ pairs of shoes some of which have barely been worn. going through clothes to throw them out is such a chore. omg and then you're like "but i just wore this recently" and you realize recently was really two years ago.. and again i think home cooking is "girly" in the sense that its more expected of women to know how to cook than men (though weirdly professional chefs are like, always guys)

I don't think cooking/baking is a girly thing. my ex loves cooking and baking and I love it.
I don't think I'm as feminine as you lol. I keep my eyebrows plucked and groomed and I paint my nails occasionally. but I don't have an extensive perfume or makeup collection. I have what I need. I need to get rid of some of my clothes though because I'm moving soon and I have way too much clothes, some I haven't worn in years but are in great condition so I want to keep them and convince myself that I'll wear it soon.

oh and my eyes used to tear up when I pluck my eyebrows too but after a few times you get used to it and now it doesn't even hurt at all.

@DragonBandit: ehh i think it's pretty girly but i also don't think there's anything wrong with it being girly, it's just a thing that is more common or more accurately more expected of women than men even tho imo it should be a basic grooming thing just like shaving a beard

@evyxx i dont consider getting your eye brows done girly. I need mine done its been over a year. I have never had them plucked though sounds to painful. I normally just have my barber cut them. I dont trust any of the barbers in this new area I am living though.

@evyxx the devil wears prada isn't a rom com, it's cheesy but I would def recommend. it's one of the better chick flicks tbh

@HobosCanFly: i've actually never seen the devil wears prada! surprisingly i'm not tooo big on rom-coms. i do watch basically every angsty michael cera movie that comes out though. 27 dresses is cuute though. have you ever seen love & other drugs? anne hathaway and jake gyllenhaal so no matter what youre into there's a bangin body to look at

@TheZigen: nah man it's all about bein good to YOU and pampering yourself. i don't do this stuff cause it's girly, i do it cause i enjoy it and it happens to be pretty girly stuff that i enjoy! as long as you're doing stuff for yourself that you like who cares if its girly or masculine.

ahh sorry rom com was the wrong word =( ive definitely like watched the first five minutes of it, all i know is it has meryl streep and she's like...a terrible person in it haha.
