Hooking My Printer Hey Basil! I really REALLY need help right now. I've been trying to hook my printer up to my computer for awhile now. The problem is I DON'T have wireless internet OR a USB cable. I know you might think I'm stupid right now for not getting these things sooner but I'm really not a tech person. Is there any other way I can connect it to my computer? I have an assignment due Monday and can't buy them tomorrow. My printer's a Canon Pixma MX512 and my computer's Windows Vista Home Premium. Thanks a ton.
Computer broke, what to do now? I was thinking of either replacing it completely or repairing and upgrading mine. Pros of New Computer: Chance of not breaking anytime soon, New Cons of New Computer: More expensive, Windows 8 (this is a con to me), Adjusting Pros of Repairing and Upgrading: Less expensive, Windows Vista, Customized, Keeping old computer (i love my computer) Cons of Repairing and Upgrading: Could break again, more troublesome/ complicated, Old and dusty If I were to get a new computer, I would either build one myself or buy one at around $500-700. Whats wrong with my laptop? Hi basil! I'm having a lot of troubles with my new laptop. Acer Aspire E1 571- 6886. For some reason it randomly shuts my computer down then restarts it. I get the Blue Screen of Death. Windows 8. I tried playing LoL on this laptop also and it lagged and kept disconnecting me, but it also happened when I was just streaming youtube videos. Facebook Freezes? Hey basil! I'm having trouble with my Facebook. For some reason when I log into my account, it freezes and then I can't use it. It's only my account because my sister doesn't have this problem on the same computer. It's been going on for a long time now and it's on and off. Anybody have any reason for why this is happening?
Computer Making Noises About a week ago, my computer started making loud humming noises every few minutes or seconds. This usually lasts 10-30 seconds. Iv'e tried cleaning the back and front with a cloth to get the dust out but it didn't work(I didn't open the back to clean.). I tried this a couple of times. It's driving my nuts and I don't know how to fix this. I've tried looking for answers on google but I don't get the tech stuff they talk about. Can any one dumb down a solution to this? Thanks. 8)
