Maplestory Animations Programs
Note: I'm not sure where this thread is supposed to go... I just picked Art.
So I've recently been interested (recently as in 5 minutes ago) to make ONE "episode" of this story I thought of by using Maplestory animation. My ideal style would be like dietyziex's Halloween Fever (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fhDu-7_pn8s). However, I don't know how difficult, expensive, or accessible it is to pull this off... Can someone give me information on what it would look like to do this?
Information about me:
I have never done anything like this before lol.
I have no programs nor any experience with Photoshop or anything like that.
So this would literally be my first shot. I'm just wondering if it's even plausible for me LOL. Any information (literally, anything) will be helpful. Please and thank yous!

Well I just started using Adobe Flash Professional, but I know some people that somehow use Fire Works 8. So just try out whatever program works better for your type of animations.
If you really want to get serious with animation and drawing, you should go with Flash, and I've never heard of Maplestory animation programs no idea how that works.
And I notice a lot of people suggested Flash as well, but I'm not gonna lie, its a hard concept to grasp when animating.
Definite you should start with basic Adobe programs first (Photoshop, Illustrator), because all Adobe programs are like the same as each other in many senses.
As for cost, you have to buy the Master edition in Adobe suite, which is an easy $2599 (but as students we get like 90% off).
Never mind, Flash is $699 sold seperately.
Go with Vegas or something if its something small only for Youtube.
+ Edit: If you are looking for something even more beginner, try a flipbook animation program instead.
Tedious as heck, but super basic.
You would need an animation program, After Effects and/or Adobe Flash, would suffice.
I would recommend you going through exercises through these, they aren't too difficult, but they aren't built for anyone to just press a single button and have an instant animation.
Other people posted their resources above.
Well there are two main Maplestory animation websites and they generally focus on two different types of programs:
Newgenanime mainly uses Sony Vegas for there animations and it is a site filled with many friendly people that are mostly willing to help out with beginner animators. There is also a tutorial and help section if needed.
Maplemation is pretty much the exact same as Newgenanime but instead they make their animations using flash, gif, fireworks etc.
Both sites are extremely helpful so take your pick =)
@evilcookie33 Hmm, are these programs hard to use? And like.. Do you think it's possible for me to even do this LOL.
Well you can never have too much tutorials. Just search up maplestory animation tutorials and grab a handful.

If you're going to make a Maplestory animation, then you should probably use Sony Vegas/ Adobe After Effects. You're going to need to be organized too.
Macromedia Flash.
I have no useful information for you.
