BowMaster Revamp Predictions

I saw a couple of these threads hanging around and I'd like to make one myself, on Bowmasters though! It might be fun to see everyone's open opinions. So, let's get started! What would you like to see with the Explorers revamp coming to Bowmasters? I want :
-Stronger hurricane/pierce on it
-More buffs? o.o

Please state your ideas!

LOOL SORRY RUJIN, PLEASE CONTINUE TO TAKE ME ON RUNS. But yeah, kinda late but, I can confirm that Epic Adventurer stacks. Rujin and I were at Azwan and I noticed [b]two[/b] EA symbols on the top right.

Chances are, bowmasters will get the short end of the stick.
There are very few ideas when it comes to a bow.
Just look at our skills
Gritty Gust ~> Nothing to do with a bow
Other than Drain Arrow, our skills have stayed the same (+ the reskinning) for years

Who wants to bet our Specialized Skill is Inferno and hurricane hits half as much but gets added bossing

Seeing as how this patch has been geared toward restoring the party-play style of MapleStory, I'm seeing BMs/MM becoming more focused on critical hits and diversion.

What I'm seeing is increased damage on crits, and more pierce-like effects. I'll quote myself when I'm proven right.

That makes sense. I mean I never TRIED to stack them because I didn't care due to capping, but when I was in a party with BMs and MMs, I only saw double EA. So this is probaly it. Thanks.

@bluebomber24: Epic Adventure definitely stacks (there are 14 versions of the skill meaning 14 different Adventurers), but if two people are of the same class, and casted it one after the other, it would override the previous (e.g. BM and BM). Other than that, 6 different Adventurers in one party would give up to 60% Total Damage.

Did you already have your own epic adventure on? if multiple copies of the same version stack thats REALLY wierd.

I was in Azwan area...I don't think that part is bugged. I was in a party full of Archers and 1 non-level 200 i/l there and I had a range that I could not achieve on my own due to Epic.

EDIT: This myth needs to be busted. Ima see what i can do.

Sadly its only 50% as each version of epic adventure only stacks once (and theres 5 versions) =P
On the same note i've always thought there should be some kind of special permanant, impossible to dispel buff you get while in a party with your "team" of 5 people so to speak
i.e: a party of the 5 legendary heroes (one of each), the 5 cygnus knights, 5 explorer classes, resistance members, etc; Thinking something like weapon attack +100, stacks with everything and can't be dispelled: would definitely encourage partying ALOT more (and you must all be in the party and in the same map to have the buff active) thoughts?

Edit: Now that I re-read the revamp for Magicians and Warriors, I wish there was a difference when using axes vs. swords, spears vs. polearms, etc.

Edit: Also many BMs regular cap and more than a few double cap under the current cap.

I meant to say Epic Adventure (the lvl 200 hyper skill) is sorta useless. I think it was 10% boss damage or something, which isn't much and increase cap damage. I mean the 10% damage is sorta useful but NO explorer can hit cap.

Edit: There's no way in hell Nexon gonna give away a free 60% damage increase. I think it's gonna be something stupid like 10% accuracy per Bowman, 10% hp per Warrior, 10% mp per Magician, 10% avoidability per Thief, and 10% def per Pirate

On Epic Adventurer...what? 6 explorers is a 60% increase to damage. Thats VERY good.

So basically this creates a variety of classes in a party instead of all OP classes AND a reason to have a BM and a MM in the same party. I also think explorers should have some sort of buff when explorers are in the same party (Epic Adventure don't cut it.) If BMs/MMs are having a complete overhaul gameplay wise, I hope nexon makes it more like a "teamwork" gameplay, not another job where you just have and/or need godly equipment.

This seems like a pretty cool idea and possibly something that could be included in 5th job. Mad props for an original idea
If it worked on bosses, there could be bonus damage for burning a frozen monster (and vice-verse) with cool animations or something.

@hardballer That's a really interesting idea! Maybe for other classes too like I/L and F/P or something. BaM and Bishop, etc. Sure would add a lot more reason to "party" up and then there will be different combinations of parties for specific buffs that they want. Imo it would add an interesting twist to the game and party bossing might be fun again! Race to see which team can kill _____ boss first. Weaker can win with those party buffs/bonuses. This also reminds me of Rengar vs Kha Zix THE HUNT IS ON! in League of Legends cause they're "rivals" instead of partners.

i just want us to have the fastest DPS remember when the very 1st version of maple everyone played bm cuz of their epic fast hurricane..
and yea i agree with bowmushro0m n rujin tat we shud have more fire element in our attks..nexon shud really count in accuracy cuz its useless now f3..

I think it would be cool to have some sort of bonus if a bowmaster and marksman were in a party together. It does not have to be anything special either. Maybe, if Phoenix and Frostprey are in a party together, every 120 seconds they buff the party or do a special attack or something. They could incorporate something which activates with just the presence of each other, name it something having to do with feathers or something and it increases the attacking speed of marksmen and strength of bowmasters.

I guess I could stir in a few ideas

New Skill 1st Job Eagle: Summons an eagle (pretty much like 2nd job)

Remove Skill: Double Shot

New Skill 2nd Job Silver Maiden: (Passive) Gives hunters 20% speed and 10% jump boost. (Active) Mounts user with a silver horse, allowing them to "shoot-and-run" while decreasing 20% accuracy (like we need it)

New Skill 2nd Job Strafe: Same thing as strafe from 3rd Job

New Skill 2nd Job Inferno: Same thing as inferno from 3rd Job.

New Skill 2nd Job Phoenix: Same thing as Phoenix from 3rd Job.

2nd Skill Configuration Soul Arrow: Allows user to obtain buff from arrows (i.e. you'll get the attack bonus from bronze arrows while using soul arrow)

De-elemantalist: Removes fire effect from skills. (i.e. Inferno)

Remove Skill: Arrow Bomb

New Skill 3rd Job [b][/b]Ultimate Inferno[b][/b]: Same thing as UI from 4th job

New Skill 3rd Job [b][/b]Hurricane[b][/b]: Same thing as Hurricane from 4th Job

New Skill 3rd Job Burning Maiden: (Passive) 10%+ damage (Active) Same thing as Silver Maiden, but instead with different mount and fire DoT when attacking.

New Skill 3rd Job Arrow Head: When using soul arrow, +15 ATT

New Skill 3rd Job Sharp Eyes: Same as SE from 4th Job.

New Skill 4th Job Heaven's Rain: Buffs Hurricane (to 300%) and grants 50% to add another hit (dealing 150%)

New Skill 4th Job Maiden's Sword: Increases range by 100, 25%+ damage, while sacrificing all mobility. 5% accuracy = 10% attack. Cannot stack with Maiden's Shield, Silver Maiden, and Burning Maiden.

New Skill 4th Job Maiden's Shield: Increase physical/magical defense by +40%, +1000 hp, and -20% damage taken while sacrificing all mobility. 10% accuracy = +10% physical/magical defense and avoid ability. Cannot stack with Maiden's Sword, Silver Maiden, and Burning Maiden.

New Skill 4th Job Iron Eyes: (Passive) 15% crit, 10% min crit damage, 10% max crit damage (Active) 30% Crit rate, 40% Max Damage Crit, 20% Min Damage Crit. Cannot Stack with Sharp Eyes.

@ketchup11: I don't dispute the accuracy of the chart as such, but damage is hardly everything. Excepting the most recent revamps to classes like WH and Merc which haven't reached us yet, we really aren't that far off. We've still got one of the best party skills in the game, decent avoid and hp, and we improve more with funding better than just about any other class since we lack %td, %boss, and %att skills. We also scale with %crit which MMs can't.

Throw in the obvious 20% boss and 20% damage hyper skills to Hurricane alone and we jump to ~32nd on the ranking or ~27th with 100% boss.

I really don't see BMs as "sucking" except compared to Kaiser/WA/MM which should really just be nerfed instead of buffing everyone to match.

I think NA just likes stupid skill names, especially on their buttmonkey classes (see: hyper skills, etc.)

@bluebomber24: I coined the phrase back when UI -> broiler shot and Inferno -> roasting shot. I fear Nexon liked the idea and decided to run with it. It's been one of my buff macros every since

There is actually quite a few BM KMSers like Max and I believe BMs will QQ if they get trash. This time Nexon is [url=http://orangemushroom.wordpress.com/2013/05/29/inkwells-secret-diary-addressing-the-red-test-server-patch/]listening[/url] which was already seen somewhat with BaMs.

@LordofSky You do know this is a HUGE revamp. It's basically like Big Bang all over again. And if you've seen what they've done to warriors and mages, you'll know they're probably not going to flick us off this time. This isn't just a tweak/update, its a revamp/remake. There's a difference.

Bowmasters won't get anything except 10% added to hurricane and broiler.

If you haven't noticed up til now, Bowmasters are the ginger child in nexon's eyes, and virtually nothing has been changed for bowmasters in the past 2 years despite constant revamps.

Oh I feel like it would be cool if since Phoenix is a...Phoenix, we should be revived if we die cause of the myth of Phoenix tears revives you/heals you. or a passive heal I guess haha. More bird skills please! Also, how about Phoenix swoops us up from the ground really quick and we shoot arrows from above?

With the hyper skill you can walk with hurricane..and its full speed not slow.

I think it would be cool if Hurricane allowed you to slowly walk forward while firing, maybe letting you change direction with a double-tap... or even allowing the player to aim straight up while continuously firing.

Yeah I want something to do with our fire element. Wind archers become more wind based, so maybe they will make us more fire based.

i want some sort of formula to involve accuracy and damage. (seeing how 1. accuracy is useless right now, and 2. you would thing that an archer with more accuracy would be more deadly)
