iirc: If on average you do over ~175k per each hit of paralyze (7 hits with hyper on), it translates to better DPM than doing max damage each hit with ME every 5 seconds (9 hits with hyper). So if your Paralyze does much much much less than 175k per each hit, I think ME is way more effective at a place like LHC as long as it's used purposefully.
@Sungoon: If you do more damage with two Paralyzes than you do with one Mist Eruption, you don't have to use Eruption. Of course, if you kill them in four hits with Paralyze anyways, you're better off with just using Paralyze anyways.
@Caelestrasz I'd say you should stop using ME when you're able to kill a crocky in 4-5 hits. That's where I'm at right now, I hit 300-400k per line. I also have Inferno Aura on and sometimes Ifrit if I can remember o.o
I also want to add that it is somewhat bad etiquette to mist the whole map, and it's also unnecessary for the most part. In your typical party situation, you'll be only attacking on one platform/ couple mobs at a time while your other party members are getting the rest. One or two mists are all that you need
Use Mist, stack the rest of your DoTs (up to 5 obvi), explode Mist. Use Paralyze while ME is on cooldown. As long as you don't Mist the entire map, most people will be okay.

mist everywhere and stay on the ropes with the fire aura wut
I use mist and stay dots when no one's around me so I can take my time without people killing with me
otherwise I just use paralyze
Paralyze mostly, but expect to get kicked from parties because people dont like their maps to be full of mist or simply because lumi outclasses you.
I just spam Paralyze, but every once in a while I build up DoTs and do a Mist Eruption.
