Samsung Galaxy S2 or iPhone 4s?

Hey guys, I'm planning to get a new phone. Which one do you think is better? Also, if you have either of the phones, how long is the battery life (on standby and during constant music playback?)

Gimme some pros/cons for each cause both seem really nice and idk which I want. I've heard some things about the battery life on the S2 not being very long.

edit: I'm not really planning on getting either one for its camera quality, app market, customization etc. I just want a nice phone for txting, wifi usage whenever needed, and hopefully if it can fit into the backpocket of skinny jeans. Not sure if the backpocket of that is the same as normal jeans. Yeah ok I know the backpocket thing sounds stupid.

I love my S2 <3 such freedom. But if you want more apps, go with iPhone.

Apple products sell well because of product placement, lots of advertising and too high prices. This way they brainwash hipsters to think Apple products are superior to all others.

Personally i'd get the HTC One (released soon) But the S2 is wayy better than the iPhone, so get that.

i've read in some places that the S2 is more suited to people who actually know about programming rather than having a simple, easy to understand interface. and considering i plan to major in compsci which incorporates programming in its core, i think S2 is what im planning to go with

Haha it's actually 1080p now, and I heard some phones even can watch 3d...

OT: I'd wait until the S3 and iphone 5 comes out before I decide. I prefer Android over iOS myself.

The only problem downside to the S2 I have is that the battery life is a bit low ONLY if you're using battery intensive things all day. If you're just calling/texting then it can last a whole weekend.

The camera quality on both are pretty close although the one on the S2 is great and the difference between the two doesn't matter. Honestly the only upside I see to the iPhone is Siri. If you want Siri that badly then I guess go ahead and get an iPhone.

To be honest, most people won't use a quarter of the crap that the iPhone or the Samsung S2 offers.

I'd take any phone over iPhones. I've had nothing but problems with my iPhone 4. So I'd assume Siri is a waste.

Personally I've always loved my Evo, aside from the battery life it's an amazing phone.

Never touched any Galaxies before though. So can't help you there.

Samsung just released an entire line of Galaxy phones. Didn't read the specs but it's worth checking out. Next iPhone will be out in July-September if you want to wait.

S2 is 12.5cm by 6.6cm. 4S is a bit smaller, at 11.5cm x 5.9cm
skinny jeans. just imagine skinny jeans. i have no idea the size of the actual pocket by measurements

Well I know from experience that iPhone's camera is pretty decent. I've yet to try an S2's one though so I'm not gonna try and say which is better. I think the iPhone 4S is smaller though, S2's screen is pretty big.

ok this is gonna sound like a stupid question and im not even sure if u would know the answer to it but will the samsung galaxy s2 fit into the back pocket of skinny jeans? i dont think i plan on waiting for S3 i dont need a phone with a quadcore, so ill suffice with s2. there is no point in me buyin an s2 if it wont even fit into the back pocket of my jeans
neither. I'd wait and get galaxy s3, instead. Bigger display, quad processor, more memory, etc, etc.
when is galaxy s3 coming out? if its more than a couple months im not sure i plan on waiting that long. i've had this somewhat brick phone for the past few years (switched back to it cuz a recent phone i bought which was SonyEricssonC905 that broke in a couple months) and i feel the need for a new one.

@easyrolling if i dont customize it that much, but still want a nice phone for txting, wifi, maybe a couple android apps, how long would the battery life of S2 last? or rather, is the battery life decent? a day at least would suffice for me

if you're into tweaking open-source software and like to customize everything at the cost of potential lag and horrible battery life, get a S2

if you want a phone that just works, get an iphone. battery life is actually really good if you only using it for texting. it's when you get into using wifi/3G for apps it drains
