Dress well for the occasion.
Outline your goals for the student.
Ask questions and take them.

Be serious but not stonefaced. Good luck
Be enthusiastic, shake their hand before they even wrench a wrist, maintain eye contact at all times, dress appropriately and smell good. Don't say "Yeah" or "Mhm" say yes and no clearly.

^ What NonSonoFronz said, white lies aren't exactly uncommon at interviews. But don't lie about something that would impact your job, for instance if you really CAN'T work full time, don't tell them you can and then quirk a brow when they're firing you for not working.

Smile, smile, smile, don't frown and act like you're in a hurry. Take your time, don't be checking your phone like you've got somewhere to be. Ask questions, whether or not you're genuine about the answers it'll show the interviewer you're at least interested in the aspects of the job and it's environment.

Do not wear jeans, wear slacks. Do not wear a t-shirt, wear something with a collar and buttons. Those should be self explanatory but I've applied for many jobs, you don't know how many times I've seen people look incredibly unprofessional. Since you seem to be male, do yourself a favor and shave the scruff, it looks unsightly during an interview.

When you leave, thank them for the interview and follow up with another hand shake, tell them you hope to be in touch. I know a lot of this seems like common sense, but you'd be surprised how many people forget things like this.
I am not going to lie. When I posted this topic, I posted it for the lols. However this is great advice! Thanks for everything!

Thanks to you too! I will read up a bit on the different types of learning as well. It's a good thing you reminded me. If they ask me a question about it, I'll have an answer ready.

I'll tell you what I did and what I was asked for my interview, and since I'm a math tutor too, it should be of some help...

They want to know your availability, so take the extra step to print out a detailed schedule of availability for as long as you're expected to be working, to the best of your ability
Familiarize yourself with the different types of learning styles people possess (visual learners, etc)
Any amount of tutoring experience you have, whether it was formal or just helping out a friend, be sure to include all of it if they ask you about prior experience

A lot of the interview is time for them to explain the job to you. So prepare a list of questions for you to ask them at the appropriate time. They want to know you have a genuine interest in the job and are not just there for the money. You're working in a unique environment with a number of kids, so I'm sure you can come up with some questions.

I'm only 18 and got a contract right at the end of the interview and was the youngest they hired. It's really not a hard job to qualify for, and I doubt they're going to get into detail about the lessons. If you're genuinely interested in working as a tutor, you'll be an easy pick.

obviously you need to show them you're capable of being a tutor

Shake the interviewer's hand with a good handshake, dress nicely, don't mumble, don't be afraid to lie a little bit as well.
