if you could sleep forever
i have a question
if you could sleep until you die, would you?
lets say someone told you one day they could do this for you?
let's say you were placed in a chamber underground that supplied you food and water for as long as you're alive
however, you will be asleep the rest of your life.
while you are asleep, you have full control of your mind to dream anything you would like.
but you will always be conscious of the notion that you left your old life, this life, behind, along with your relatives and friends, and the fact that nothing in the dreams are real, but only figments of your memories that you have seen throughout your life.
the choice is yours

I totally would. I reminisce about the past all day anyway, which gets me in trouble in the future because I'm not being productive because I'm reminiscing too much and I can't do anything else while I'm reminiscing so yeah I totally would.
I'll make that choice once I'm close to dying of old age. Besides, old geezers need their beauty sleep.

Nah. I love sleep, but there's plenty of time to make reality surpass my dreams.

I'd rather live in reality, my REAL family and friends would miss me, and I would too. All I'd have is memories and I'd wanna make new ones.. so even though I dislike reality quite often, I prefer it over a dream that I know is only in my head.

I think therefore I am, but I am also thought of by others. Reality is debatable, so are dreams. No matter what, we prefer to dream of an ideal way of life even though reality may sometimes dictate the opposite. I prefer to dream, but not to sleep forever; Daydreaming is what I prefer.

Probably wouldn't be worth the trouble. Everything would just seem fake and I wouldn't have that same feeling I get accomplishing something.

Either way you die so might as well make everything a reality.
Dreams are nothing but fiction but the way you live in reality is the real deal. I'd rather experience real feelings than fake ones.
