volunteering in college

so my friend told me shes volunteering at a university, at a hospital i think and it requires:
100 hours commitment
background check
additional paperwork upon being accepted

i understand the background check, but 100 hours? and commitment? she told me she got accepted but she had to do more paper work.

could it be why not many people volunteer is because of these wack requirements?

@flygon123445: that's true, I guess for some certain cases when volunteering it really depends on how your schedule is. I guess its different for everyone, can't speak for the majority

If I've learned anything from Family Guy, it's that doctors don't need to know much of anything to be doctors.

100 hours can go by pretty quickly, especially if you're volunteering in a busy hospital.
I volunteered at a hospital a couple years ago for a year. It was always pretty fun. ^__^.

hm i never considered that possibility. i never asked what she was majoring in, i just saw on social media that she had to commit 100 hours of volunteer work, which sounds wack for something that you are freely choosing to do
100 hours doesn't even seem that hard, maybe 100 hours straight of work then duck that.
hm really? i rarely volunteer so i thought 20 - 40 hours would sound normal. and its commitment. which means you would have to sacrifice your study time/ summer time to do it no?
