Merchanting overnight
Not really sure how to explain this...Recently got a new computer- Used to when I cut my screen off overnight to merchant everything would run smoothly....Just upgraded to a new PC and it seems that turning off my monitor disconnects me from the game. Any fixes for this?

Are you using one of those all-in-one desktops?
I don't have this issue with my computer because all the parts are separately powered.
If you're talking about a laptop, switch your Power mode so that it only turns the screen off and doesn't go to sleep mode. Right click your desktop screen, click personalize, screen saver, then click change power settings.
I have windows 8 and it doesn't happen for me. Make sure you go to the option where it says "what to do when your computer is plugged in" and change the settings to never.
I turned "sleep mode" off and removed my screensaver. Still not sure what is causing this. Maybe maple is just glitchy or possibly a windows 8 problem?
make sure your pc isnt going into sleep mode or has a "turn off monitor" option on. go to power settings to fix that. other than that, turning off your monitor is completely irrelevant to stay online. you should also know people often disconnect when they go afk in the fm
Leave your monitor on, or go to control panel, power options and make it so that the screen turns black after a while. Or you can get a fully black screensaver

If it's that important leave it on, and lower the brightness...
Does your computer go into "sleep mode?" If so, that's why it's disconnecting you. You have to turn that off.
