I've seen a lot of threads asking simple questions about beginners that can be answered in a simple guide. So I decided to make a guide with ALL of the answers to hopefully every question you can think of. Well I hope you enjoy, and feel free to ask additional questions. LAST UPDATED: February 16, Basil time 19:15 Many people have posted saying that so and so cant train here because there to weak or that they dont know where to train because they are not funded the way this guide is listing, so I am going to be rephrasing this guide so that it is easier to see what you need to train on. Regular Font means this is good training for anyone Italics means that this is good training for somone who is not funded Bold font means that this is good training if you are somwhat funded (1m-5m) Bold AND italic font means that this is only training for people with VERY good equips and is funded with 5m+ This is the start of your new beginner, remember to use correct stat builds. Leveling up shouldn't be hard. Not many options, but I would stick with snails. With your loads of STR, you'll be owning Maple Island, yet people don't know you AREN'T going to become a warrior. Orange mushrooms Red/Blue Snails Pigs (If your off island already) Ah, you're finnaly off that Island... Now comes the harder part, leveling without any skills, but this is childs play of what is yet to come. Henesys PQ Pig Beach Orange mushrooms Slime tree or any other place with Lots of slimes Regular wooden stumps People are now noticing that you are different, and you enjoy it. Just a few more levels, and you'll be able to Kerning PQ. Henesys PQ Pig Beach (this is what i recommend as i have trained there and with a level 10 tuna i was able to achieve 2-3 levels a day) Boars (ONLY if your funded and can 1-4 hit Kill them) Slime tree Stumps Congrats! You've made it to the point where you can Kerning PQ! If you are able to lead or are able to get into PQs easily, you now have a break thats worth while from training. Kern PQ (recomended if you can get some friends to help you) Boar Those funny Mask Monsters (the wooden and stone) Pig Beach (up until level 25) Ant tunnel (Try to stay near the Horned mushrooms) WARNING: This is probably going to be one of the most frustrating moments of being a beginner. Its hard boring. Please try your best to not quit your beginner. Boar Masked Monsters Horned Mushrooms and Zombie Mushrooms in Ant tunnel Evil Eyes in Evil Eye Cave Jr. Sentential Brown and Pink Teddies (Only if you have VERY nice equips and you don't mind burning a lot of potions.) Another Congrats! You've made it to the point where 80% beginners never reach. Now you have the option of Ludi PQ. Get some new equips so you can stay in the game and your READY TO GO! Ludi PQ until level 50 is what i recomend. At level 35 even if you just sit there its about 30% per PQ. Teddies (all colors) Jr Cellions/ any other Jr Kitty Ratz Congratulations, you've made it to 40+ which in my eyes is the sign of a true beginner. Enjoy Ludi PQing and other training, this will be hard leveling but worth while. Ludi PQ (recommended) Retz Fire Boar Jr Kitties Mini Tick tocks Curse eyes Ugh, Training is getting harder, Ludi PQ isnt giving you as much percent as you want. But 50 is just around the corner and wouldnt you love showing off that beginner of yours at the new PQs? Ludi PQ Any of the training spots in the above levels. Your damage wont change that much to where you are ready for different monsters. Yay! You are now level 50+! Training will be hard, but Nexon has prepared a hefty amount of training places and PQs so you will never get bored Ludi Maze PQ Orbis Pq (rush preferred) Cold eyes (might be hard to avoid the near 1 Hit KO's of the macis however) Regular and mini Tick tocks Regular and Red Robos (are perfect if your using a tuna or a "slow" weapon because these monsters dont have much spead) Block Golems Grinding on golems and constantly PQing may get boring, but think of 70 and the slew of equips you'll soon be able to use! Ludi Maze PQ Orbis PQ large Tick tocks ALL colered block golems Copper drakes Jr wraithes (you HOPEFULLY should be able to 1 hit kill these or at least 2 hit kill them. If you can, these are great for there Quick spawn and if you can find a cleric, They will enjoy partying with you) Reg. Wraiths Congratulations! You are now level 60+! You can now wield one of your new favorite weapons, the Emergency Rescue tube! If now, more then ever, you are now ready to get your Zakum helmet if you plan on buying one. Orbis PQ Reg. wraiths Big tick tocks Block golems Copper and Regular Drakes Jr Kitties (if you can 1 hit kill them most of the time, this is FAST exp) ALMOST to 70. You can almost taste it! Only a select few have made it this far. Try not to stress yourself out too much, remember beginners are for fun. But even though your leveling may have reached its peak, Your maple career in long from over. Ludi Maze PQ Orbis PQ Block Golems Copper Drakes Regular Kitties (May be a pot burner) Teddies and jr Kitties (if you can 1Hit kill them) And anything else that you can 1 hit kill with a decent spawn and EXP rate Beginner AP builds Builds I will be going over: Regular DEX Low-DEX Pure STR Add on Builds Overall HP build Zakum Helm build Regular DEX build AP First of all, this is not a common build, or at least, people tend to mix it up wiith low-DEX, but with this build, you will have somewhat of a high DEX. First of all you are going to be adding DEX until about level 30-35, so this should be your build. Levels 10-30 OR 10-35 3 STR 2 DEX If you add DEX until level 30, you should have 60 DEX (keep in mind your DEX should be you level times 2, so if your level 10 and you alredy have 22 DEX, you can hold back on DEX for a few levels, or if your level 10 and you have 15 DEX, its best to start adding it DEX a little more) Equipment With this build, you will not be using a DEX sauna, but have the ability to use top's and bottom's and there wide assortment of scrolls. for your top, you have the option of adding HP, DEF, or STR. If your un-funded, try adding into DEF by 100%ing your tops and bottom, If your somwhat funded, you an try adding HP, if you land 7/7 70%'s for example, you will end up with a 105 HP shirt (very valuable to a beginner). If you are really funded, try adding into STR. It will be costly but after completeley scrolling a top, it ill prove VERY useful and a nice bragging equip. As for bottom, you also have the option of adding DEF, HP but also jump. Adding into Jump will also give you some avoid, and having jump will be very useful if you dont plan on PQing as much and are looking to train instead. But i do reccomond adding into HP for your bottom just as my suggestion. Overall... Overall this build is more for the funded/mid-funded beginner, as long as you have a good 5m to spend, you'll be set for life. Low-DEX build This is the most preffered method because it is relativly a one piece equipment that you have to invest in and after that, its Just regular equips AP With this build, you will have slightly more DEX, but you will be adding it in a different way. your going to be adding into DEX, like a regular DEX build (your DEX is your level times two) But once you get to level 25 or so, you will want to add into just PURE STR. Example: at level 30 you have 50 base DEX BUT you have a 20 DEX sauna Now you have the same if not more then a regular DEX build Equipment Just a DEX sauna, Find out how much DEX you can afford. If you cant afford much just 100% a sauna and use that for now. You can always buy a greater DEX sauna later on. Overall... This build alows you to add into STR more, but risk not having the valuable HP/STR top and the HP/jump bottom PURE STR First of all, I wouldnt reccomond this build to any Off-island beginners as its not very succesful but hey, some people like to do it... AP Simple, Just add into STR, nothing else Equipment Uhhh.... I would have to say use a top and a bottom like Regular DEX beginners. Overall... Until you got to this part of the guide, The PURE STR build looks nice, doesnt it? Well heres the bad part... You will be able to hit nearly NOTHING. thats right, youll be training on Pig type monsters until level 30 and training after that will be hell since you will not be able to hit most monsters. this build is NOT RECCOMENDED! Side Builds These builds are builds you can add onto any type of build above, these builds will possible change you atk range but increase other stats drastically... Overall HP build this build is quite simple to add into your existing Beginner. and the best part is, it can be added into your build at ANY LEVEL AP Most builds require you to add STR and DEX every level (or most levels), for example: Say your regular DEX and your currently adding 3 STR 2 DEX Instead you would use this build 1 HP 2 STR 2 DEX Or if you were adding 5 STR you would use 1 HP 4 STR Also if you feal you need EVEN more HP, you can take away 1 more STR and add into 1 more HP Overall... This build will slightly raise your HP but will drastically lower your attack compared to other beginners Zakum Helm Build One of the biggest goals to a beginner is to once own a Zakum Helm. This build will tell you how to acheive one as soon as possible. First of all, you will not be able to get the Zakum helm unil level 60 unless you have Godly HP gear (200+ HP tops and bottoms, ect.) AP At level 50 (or 45) you will want to start adding into HP like the HP build above this one, taking away STR for HP. Equipment This one will be quite hard, Ill post what one beginner said to be BoBtHeNuB: Used 17 points in hp. My base hp is 1110. 150hp hat 60hp cape 23hp earings 130hp top 105 hp bottom 135 hp shield 152 hp tube 90 hp glove There you go ~ As you can see the equips are going to be hard to come by, but hopefully, the Zakum helm will soon be yours. Beginner equipment First of all, I'm going to go over the equipment that is pretty simple (shoes, capes, ect.) and THEN, I will go into detail about weapons. Shoes You have a few options here. Your best choice would be to use a white-bottom and either scroll it for speed or ACC (by doing this you use shoe DEX scrolls, not shoe jump scrolls, its alot cheaper and actually adds more acc then DEX). If you are REALLY, REALLY funded, then at level 50 you can buy some Yellow Snow Shoes at level 50 and Violate snow shoes at 80 (if you can get there, lol). Capes For your cape, it all depends on your build. If you are regular DEX (like me) then you are going to add into STR. If you are low DEX, then make a DEX cape. If you are also going to try to get a zakum helm. Its best to make an HP cape (not for training use). Its best to purchase a yellow adventure cape, and scroll that with 60% or 70% cape HP scrolls (the scrolls are worthless and 8/8 = 80 HP cape) Gloves Pretty simple, just a scrolled work glove. If you can afford it, scroll a red work glove, and blue work glove, or even a storm caster. Also, you are eventually going to need an HP glove if you are planning a zakum run. a 30% adds 30 HP and a 70% adds 15. Landing 5/5 30%'s will give you a 150 HP glove, and 5/5 70%s will give you a nice 75 HP glove. Earing Not that necessary, but if you are VERY rich, you can scroll an earing for DEX. For an added bonus, buy a fallen leaf earing with no m att (pretty cheap) and either wear it clean or scroll it for DEX as it adds about 20+ HP, which for a beginner, helps alot. Hat Woo, there are ALOT of options here. You are probably going to want to have a total of three hats (like myself). The first hat you are going to want is your best scroll pig headband (for HP). Next you are going to want a brown bandanna that is scroll for acc, or just clean. Lastly, you are going to want either a clean blue bamboo hat or a scrolled bamboo hat for either HP or acc. With all of these, you won't have to worry about missing monsters or dieing. And you can always use the 3 STR att bonus. Shield (if you are using a 1H Weapon) If you are using a 1H weapon, then you have the ability of using a shield. Most likely, you don't have a spare couple hundred million mesos to spend. If you do, purchase or scroll a Maple shield for att. If you do not, then scroll any shield (Mapleshields are better, but more expensive) for HP. a 50+ HP shield will be a great HP bonus. Overall (if you decide to use one) If you are using an overall, then you are going to scroll it for DEX. Simple as that. Top (if you are regular DEX) If you are using a top and bottom. Then you have a few options. For the rich, try scroll for STR. I remember right after I gach'd one time, I scrolled a godly, 15 STR lvl 11 shirt (shoeing off, lol). God forbid I ended up selling it later on, but that shirt was not only a wonderfull bragging right, but it added a hella lota damage. For most people, you are going to scroll for HP. I currently use a 105 HP shirt and without it, I'd be dead x2 times more. If you REALLY, cannot afford anything, go to the KPQ area and but 10% def scrolls and hope you land 1 or two on your shirt. Bottom (if you are regular DEX) Like the top, you have a few options of scrolling. Most likely you are going to scroll for HP. If not, you can also scroll for jump. Its a little pricey, but aside from jump, it also adds avoid, which could help you alot depending on how much total avoid you have. If you cannot afford either, than just do as I said above and scroll for def. Weapons.... yaaaay! Credits go COMPLETELY to smartguy11, I didn't make ANY part of this weapons guide. Level 1-10 It¡¯s your choice between your start-up weapon and a 19 atk club/sword from the Amherst weapon shop (costs 50 mesos). If you buy the 19 atk club, use it until you get off of Maple Island (unless you have a fruit knife). Level 10-14 Though there are a huge variety of beginner weapons available, I suggest you use the Stars and Stripes (30 atk, +10 str 1-handed sword) until you reach level 12, where you can get a 32+ atk Aqua Snowboard or Red Rose (30 atk polearm). Level 15-19 Your best choice is to get a gold surfboard (36 atk polearm). It¡¯s fast, has high atk, and is readily available for low prices. If you¡¯re a total fund wh0re, you can use a yellow mop or red skis. If you¡¯re a total fund lacker, a hard briefcase (found in Henesys weapon shop) will do. Level 20-24 At level 20, it is almost mandatory for beginners that you buy a fish spear (42 atk, +5 accuracy, +5 speed polearm). There¡¯s nothing to not like about it and lots to like about it: fast attack speed, speed bonus, accuracy bonus, extremely low prices¡ etc. Once you come of level, I suggest you ditch the spear (unless you REALLY need the accuracy and get a white rose (49 atk polearm) (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED). White roses don¡¯t cost that much and you can easily save up for one. Level 25-29 A Pigs Illustrated (42 atk, +10 acc 1-handed blunt weapon) can prove useful at level 25 if you really need the acc bonus. Same goes for Maplemas lights (43 atk +10 speed 1-handed sword) and their speed bonus. If not, stick with you white rose. For the fund wh0res: A pumpkin spear can prove to be extremely useful if you have enough cash to buy a good one. Level 30-34 Amazingly enough, chances are your white rose will still be the best weapon in your arsenal, even at this level. If you want, you can buy an aluminum baseball bat (50 atk 2-handed sword), though the damage probably won¡¯t be much higher (if not lower) than your rose¡¯s. The surfboard¡¯s (48 atk +5 speed) speed bonus may prove useful for you, so you can get one of those if you want, though they tend to be a bit pricy. For fund wh0res: The Versalmus Cactus (52 atk, +100 HP polearm) is a great survival booster with an attack that¡¯s nothing to be ashamed of. Also, the Green Paint Brush or Frying Pan (don¡¯t know exact stats) can be a great bragging right, though their damage is none to amazing. Level 35-39 At this level you can begin using the highly accurate Maple Sword (48 atk +20 accuracy 1-handed sword). The attack is very low though, so don¡¯t wield one unless you REALLY NEED IT. Same goes for the red whip (48 atk +15 speed 1-handed red whip) and its speed bonus. Level 36 is when you¡¯ll be introduced to your new best friend: the gold snowboard (54 atk polearm).Unless you have some kind of super-leet white rose or pumpkin spear or something, get this NOW. Level 40-49 These levels hold very few weapon opportunities for the unfunded beginner. Probably the cheapest decent option at the early 40s in the Maple Soul Singer (60 atk +30 accuracy 1-handed sword). However, like the Maple Sword, it should only be used if you really need the accuracy. At level 45 the Black Surfboard (64 atk +2 str polearm) will become your key weapon. In the later 40s you can begin using a Black Snowboard (66 atk polearm) for its cheapness or Blue Rose (70 atk polearm) if you¡¯re slightly more funded. For the fund wh0res: The glowing whip (70 atk +10 speed 1-handed sword) is very expensive but a great attacker for a gachapon weapon. You can also now use a hula hoop or a toymaker hammer if you really want to. Level 50-59 You won¡¯t receive any new weapons in this level range until level 55, where you can begin using a green surfboard (74 atk +2 dex polearm). If you have a lot of money to spend, you can get a set of the surfboard¡¯s stronger counterpart: green skis (78 atk +3 dex +2 str spear). A black paint brush (75 atk 1-handed axe) is probably going to be your best choice if you¡¯re a one-handed weapon devotee. Level 60-69 Buy an 82+ atk blood snowboard (78 atk polearm)(EXTREMELY CHEAP) at level 60. It¡¯ll be your prime weapon for the next 10 levels unless you decide to purchase a white mop (84 atk polearm) at level 65. Note: The white mop is much more expensive. Also, if you like looks more than efficiency and would like an HP boost, then the fan (78 atk +100 HP dagger) is right for you. Level 70-79 A skewer (83 atk +50 HP dagger) looks pretty cool on you, so if you were a fan fan (lol that sounds funny), you could get one of these. For the more practical beginner: Buy an 89+ atk maple snowboard (85 atk polearm). You¡¯ll be using these¡ for a while. Level 80-89 Though most the beginners at this level are dumb leeches, if you do make it this far and actually train, just keep using your level 70 weapons. Level 90+ Though most the beginners at this level are dumb leeches, if you do make it this far and actually train, get a red surfboard (102 atk +5 speed polearm) at lvl 95. If you need an accuracy boost and are willing to spend more money, buy a set of sky skis (95 atk +10 accuracy spear). I made a Beginner a bit back and used this guide. It's a pretty good one but as you said the training is a bit outdated. If I were to make a pure grinding beginner no pq this is where I would grind:
1-5: Snails (as you suggested) 5-10: Snails/Blue Snails/Shrooms/Red Snails (I wouldn't go to Orange Mushrooms yet since you probably won't do enough damage to make up for the fact that they have a worse Exp/HP ratio as the lower leveled monsters) 10-15: Pigs/Orange Mushrooms (As you suggested) 15-25: Pigs/Ribbon Pigs (As you suggested) 25-50: Sand Rats (At 25 if you can kill Boars/Zombie Mushrooms/Wooden Masks/Rocky Masks you can kill Sand Rats, and even at 40-50 Sand Rats due to there great spawn should give better exp than Retz) 50-60: Cold Eyes (As you suggested and now there is a great map with no Tauromacis) 60-70: Roids (Copper Drakes/Drakes were good back then but now there is better places like Roids) 70+: Idk I was just trying to compare new training spots to old ones So yeah if anyone is a Beginner and feels like grinding this is what I'd suggest nowadays. Test your own spots too, I know Primitive Boars has a good map and Malaysia must have a few. Idk if you can use CPQ on beginner, but I do that for every one of my accounts (usually from 30 - 40,50)
There's also a mini dungeon in Henesys FILLED with pigs and ribbon pigs, I suggest training there rather pig beach. Really helpful guide for those who wanna be unique xD
Has anyone tried training a HP warrior to an high lvl? my friend trained his HP warrior and with HB he had 11k HP at lvl 40 i think, well it's like lvl 35~40
Is the Red Surfboard Beginner-Able?
I read somewhere that the Red Surfboard is Warrior Only? at lvl 10-14 i just used double bladed axe, at lvl 15-19 i used red brick.
cuz the items u listed are too expensive, i only have 1k >.< Good guide :D now with the monster survival/airant pq thing thats so new :D u can lvl faster than getting scammed and ugnored in the cpq :D YAY FOR 100k EXP a HOUR WOOOOT :D BEGINNERS RULE!
I think sticking with lmpq and cpq2 is the best but mobing twisted jesters with x2 exp has great exp too
