Are you an assassin who doesn’t know where to train? Then this is the guide for you! This thief training guide is perfect for all future Night Lords who need help reaching their goals. Where do I train? Since Night Walkers do way more damage than similarly-funded regular assassins (yes, they do), you can go to listed training spots much earlier than what is labeled in my guide. For example, if I label a specific training spot as “Level 60-80”, you can probably go there at level 50. And so on. If you’re particularly well-funded, you might even be able to go at level 45. Also, since Night Walkers have a few special skills that assassins don’t have, you might even be able to train at places that normal assassins can’t train at until they’re a lot higher level. For example, your Night Walker can probably train at Truckers in Suburban Area 2 way before my listed level requirement (level 67). That’s because you have Flash Jump, which will allow you to escape the huge, annoying mobs that form in the map. Deciphering the Code Before we get to the training spots, it would probably be beneficial for you to know how to interpret this training guide. So here’s a handy cross-section that describes every part of each section: Title: The title of each section holds the map name of the training spot and the recommended levels to train there. Though there are many types of assassins, the level range is mainly for semi-funded regular dex assassins. Super-funded and dexless assassins can skip a few levels ahead of the range; unfunded regular-dex assassins may want to wait behind. Monsters: This part tells you what monsters in the map so you can look them up on Hidden-Street to see if you can kill them. Description: The description is the part that really matters. If you can only read one thing in each section, read this. This tells you what’s good about the map, what’s bad, how to train there, etc. Crowds: This rating tells you how many people are normally training in the map per world. You will have a very hard time finding an empty channel in a map with a “high” rating. However, you shouldn’t have much of a problem finding a spot in a map with a “moderate” rating. “Low” means very few people train in this map, and it’s possible for you to never see a person training in a “very low” map. Exp: The Exp rating tells you the amount of exp you’ll probably get from a certain map. Ten out of ten is the highest and one out of ten is the lowest. Money Gain: This rating tells you approximately the amount of cash flow you can expect from training here. It ranges from “high” money gain to “negative” money gain. (Negative means you’ll be losing money.) Henesyes Hunting Ground I (Level 10-18) Monsters: Red snails, blue snails, shrooms, pigs Description: Henesyes Hunting Ground I used to be very crowded, but the amount of people training here has toned down in the past few years. Anyways, stay on the lower two levels of the Hunting Ground from levels 10-14. You can try training at the third level from level 14-18, but by then it’ll probably be better just to go straight to the top level, which is filled with pigs. It’s a relatively good alternative to Pig Beach, since it’s much closer to town than the beach and the spawn’s about as good. Crowds: Moderate Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: High Henesyes PQ (Level 10-20) Level Limit: 10+ Description: If you don’t know how to do the Henesyes Party Quest, refer to this guide: http://global.hidden-street.net/pquest/henesys Because you’re no use in HPQ until level 20 or so (when the exp gets lousy), you’ll probably be doing either Lure or Smuggle PQ most of the time. In Lure PQ, summon the bunny and have a warrior in your party slash blast all the monsters approaching the bunny with a low-attack weapon. The attack will lure away the monsters, but not kill them. Since there’s a limit to the amount of monsters in the map at one time, nothing will spawn as long as the warrior keeps using slash blast. This type of PQ is advantageous for low-level characters, since they can sit on their butts and do nothing the whole time. Smuggle PQ is against the ToS, so I can’t tell you how that works. Both types of HPQ give great experience and are excellent alternatives to training. Unfortunately, it’s really hard to enter HPQ in most worlds and even harder to get into a good party. Entrance Difficulty: Moderate Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Nonexistant (unless you enter the bonus stage) Dungeon, Southern Forest I, II(Level 10-16) Monsters: Slimes Description: These two maps, better known as slime trees, are awesome. Awesome spawn, awesome exp. You HAVE to go here. The slimes tend to gather in mobs at the top and bottom of the maps, so they’re usually pretty easy pickings. If you don’t do at lot of damage with your stars yet, use a fruit knife or a triangular zamadar. Crowds: Moderate Exp: 10/10 Money Gain: Moderate Pig Farm (level 15-23) Monsters: Ribbon Pig, Pig Description: The Pig Farm is a mini-dungeon located in east Henesys. Like the Pig Beach, it has a good spawn of Ribbon and regular Pigs. However, it also has a lot of sniping spots, no Iron Pigs, and very, very few other people. I HIGHLY recommend training here for at least a few levels. Crowds: Very low Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: High Pig Beach (Level 15-23) Monsters: Pig, ribbon pig, iron pig Description: Pig Beach is good exp at lower levels, if you can afford to train there. At level 18, the exp will start to slow down, but it’ll still be a great training spot. The map is relatively flat, so if you can find a channel (Pig Beach is occasionally crowded) training here shouldn’t be very hard. If you can't handle the mobs of pigs, let someone else take over the main part of the map and just train on the upper right hand platform. The spawn there is good, but less harsh than the rest of Pig Beach. Make sure to watch out for the iron pig that spawns here every hour. Crowds: Moderate Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Low Caution Falling Down/North Construction Site (Level 18-23) Monsters: Octopus, Blue Mushroom Description: Caution Falling Down and the Kerning City North Construction Site are parts of the massive influx of hidden-streets released in Patch 0.49. The two sister maps have an extremely good spawn of Octopuses and Blue Mushrooms, which are usually very rare monsters. This means it’s both a good training spot AND a great place to pick up on quests. Caution Falling Down is pretty crowded, so if you can’t find a spot there, you can always check out the North Construction Site. Unlike some beginner training spots, both maps are relatively small, so it shouldn’t take too much effort to train here. There are even a couple of sniping spots for you to stand on. Crowds: Moderate Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: Moderate An Empty House (Level 20-25) Monsters: Green Mushroom, Orange Mushroom Description: “An Empty House” boosts two platforms of Green Mushrooms, each with decent spawn. One or two Orange Mushrooms also spawn on the floor of the map, but you can ignore those. This map is extremely close to Henesys, so it’s great for those who don’t like long walks. Crowds: Very low Exp: 7/10 Money Gain: Moderate Dungeon, Southern Forest III, IV (Level 20-25) Monsters: Bubbling (Tree #4), Green Mushroom (Tree #3) Description: These two tree dungeons are basically higher-level copies of the Slime Tree. They have great spawn, therefore yielding great exp. I personally recommend going to Tree #3 because Green Mushrooms can’t jump, unlike Bubblings. Crowds: Low Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: Moderate Tent of the Entertainers(Level 23-30) Monsters: Desert Rabbit (F), Desert Rabbit (M) Description: Tent of the Entertainers is flat and has good spawn, even though it’s really big. The map is only two maps away from Ariant, so refilling your potions is easy. You can start training here once you can 1-hit KO a Desert Rabbit (F) 100% of the time. Crowds: Low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Moderate Kerning PQ (Level 21-25) Level Limit: 21-30 Description: Kerning PQ gives pretty good rewards for a PQ its level, and is pretty good exp if your leader is a can get your party in frequently. The PQ is pretty crowded in most worlds, so entering may prove difficult for some. If you can’t enter within 3-4 tries, I suggest you stop trying. Assassins can usually start PQing at level 21-23. Guide: http://global.hidden-street.net/pquest/kerning-city Entrance Difficulty: Moderate Exp: 7/10 (but those are some niceee rewards) Money Gain: High Cave of Mushrooms (level 25-35) Monsters: Zombie Mushroom, Horned Mushroom Description: This mini-dungeon is located at the bottom of Ant Tunnel II, and is a great alternative to Ant Tunnel I. The map involves more climbing than Ant Tunnel I, which may hinder your training, but it’s also a LOT less crowded and has way bigger mobs (especially at the bottom platform). Crowds: Very low Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: Moderate Ant Tunnel I (Level 25-35) Monsters: Horned Mushroom, Zombie Mushrooms Description: Since this place is crowded in most servers, finding a channel may be hard. Zombie mushrooms and horned mushrooms have better Hp:exp ratios than boars, so this place is very good exp for those who can’t 1-hit KO boars 100% of the time yet. Make sure there’s a person training on the top levels before you go to the bottom (which has the best exp) because you’ll need someone to maintain the spawn in the upper parts of Ant Tunnel I. Crowds: High Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: Low Land of the Wild Boar (Level 28-40) Monsters: Wild Boar, Jr. Boogie, Dark Axe Stumps Description: The spawn is pretty good here and you’ll be racking up nice exp once you can 1-hit KO boars 100% of the time. Watch out for the Jr. Boogies though: they can curse, weaken, AND blind you –all at the same time. In Patch 0.49 they added two rocks on the top of the map, which you can hit to kill a Jr. Boogie. Use them when there are two many boogies to handle. Training here is easiest with the haste build. Crowds: Low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Moderate Land of the Wild Boar II (Level 28-40) Monsters: Wild Boar, Dark Axe Stumps, Axe Stumps Description: This map is a reasonable alternative to Land of Wild Boar I is because there are no Jr. Boogies here, it’s less crowded, and the map is smaller. And just like its counterpart, the spawn is good (though noticeably slower) and the monsters are the same. One-hit KO is still recommended. Crowds: Very low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Moderate Perion Excavation Site III (Level 30-40) Monsters: Rocky Mask, Wooden Mask Description: The map here is small and the spawn is really good, so you can train here once you can 1-hit KO the wooden masks 100% of the time and the rocky masks most of the time. I suggest going in a circle to maintain the spawn; the upper platforms get out of hand if you only train on the lower platform (the one with the best spawn). Crowds: Low Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: Moderate Sahel 3 (level 30-45) Monsters: Sand Rat, Scorpion Description: This map has one large, flat floor of Sand Rats and several platforms that you can rest on. Since the spawn here is extremely fast, the exp is great, as long as you can 1-hit KO the Sand Rats. (Jumpshooting is recommended.) Crowds: Moderate Exp: 10/10 Money Gain: Moderate Hill of Sandstorms (level 30-45) Monsters: Sand Rat Description: Hill of Sandstorms is an alternative to the training spots shown above and is located at the top of Sahel 2. The map has several sniping spots, which is a plus for assassins. However, the monsters are more spread out, and Sahel 3 isn’t very crowded in the first place, so I don’t recommend training here except during a 2x exp event. Crowds: Very low Exp: 7/10 Money Gain: Moderate Monster Carnival PQ (level 30-45) Level Limit: 30-50 Description: Carnival PQ is awesome. Seriously. The PQ is party-verse-party, and there are six party rooms. That means you can fit 12 parties per channel. This makes Carnival PQ much, much easier to enter than Ludi PQ, the only other PQ option at your level. If you win, you usually get 20-30k exp, and if you lose, you usually get 5-10k exp. If you get lucky, you can easily get 50%+ an hour here. The exp is especially good if you can organize a trade win, where teams take turns winning the PQ. Even better are free wins, where you get a friend or another account of yours to organize a team that will purposely lose to your team. Plus, Carnival PQ monsters drop Maple coins, which you can exchange for level 30-50 weapons. So if you're poor, this PQ will serve as an easy way to get the weapons you need without paying. If you're not poor, you can still NPC the weapons you get, especially Gepharts (the weapons that give the most mesos for the least amount of Maple coins). A simple guide: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/931455/0//Guide_to_CPQ_tactical_winning.html# Entrance Difficulty: Low Exp: 10/10 Money Gain: High Purple Plains (level 30-50) Monsters: Sakura Cellions, Wooden Stumps Description: Before Leprechauns, this was THE money-making place for low-level Maplers. The Sakura Cellions of Purple Plains drop huge amounts of cash and Orbis Exchange Quest items (which you can sell for 400+ mesos each), and have awesome spawn. And once you can 1-hit KO these, they’ll be pretty good exp, too. Even if you can’t 1-hit KO, you will still get a lot of money here. Crowds: High Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: High Royal Catthus Desert (Level 33-40) Monsters: Royal Cactus Description: Royal Catthus Desert is small and flat, a basis for many training spots. The spawn is decent, so you’ll probably always be killing something. Royal Cactuses move as slow as hell, so you won’t be spending too much money on potions. And if you get tired of training, there are three resting spots right above your head. Sounds good? Yeah, the place is pretty good. You can start training here once you 2-hit KO Royal Cactuses, though a 1-hit KO would be a lot better. Crowds: Very low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Moderate North Desert Road 2 (Level 33-42) Monsters: Kiyo, Sand Dwarf Description: North Desert Road 2 is completely flat, very long, and has a series of resting spots on the top of the map. The spawn is good (similar to Night at the Forest), so you can start training here once you’re able to one-hit KO the slow-moving Kiyos and Sand Dwarfs (2-hit KO is also acceptable). To train here, start at the left of the map and kill everything in your path until you reach the right. Then go into the Cash Shop and leave quickly. You will end up back at the left of the map. Repeat. Crowds:Very low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Moderate Vanity Room 2 (level 33-45) Monsters: Psycho Jack, Mirror Ghost Description: The spawn here isn’t exceptional, but I still highly recommend you train here because of the Psycho Jack’s great HP:exp ratio. The map is flat and relatively small, so maneuvering won't be much a problem. Just watch out for the mirror ghost that pops out every once in a while; he'll inflict 200-300 damage to you a hit. Crowds: Low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Low Ludibrium PQ (level 35-50) Level Limit: 35-50 Description: Monster Carnival PQ will probably greatly overshadow Ludibrium PQ in terms of exp gain, but this is still a fun way to break out of you boring routine of grinding, grinding, and more grinding. Plus, if you manage to complete 35 full PQs, you will receive a set of Broken Glasses from the Stop Sign NPC, which can be sold with Karma Scissors for quite a bit of money. You can get scrolls, too. Unfortunately, LPQ is one of the hardest and most annoying regular PQs to complete in Maplestory. If one party member disconnects or dies, the PQ will become way harder or impossible to complete. If two party members disconnect or die, the entire thing is over, no matter what. Guide Entrance Difficulty: Low Exp: 6/10 Money Gain: Very high Hallowed Ground (level 43-50) Monsters: Jr. Wraith, Headless Horseman Description: The Jr. Wraith map next to the Haunted Mansion has great spawn and is completely flat. Train here if you can 1-hit KO Jr. Wraiths 100% of the time and can’t 1-hit KO flyeyes yet. Headless Horseman occasionally spawns here, but it never spawned on me, so that shouldn’t be much of a problem. Crowds: Low Exp: 7/10 Money Gain: Moderate The Dangerous Cave (level 43-50) Monsters: Flyeyes Description: Training here is boring. I mean, REALLY boring. You may never train at a place this boring ever again. However, if you can put up with all the boredom (I recommend watching videos with Windowed Mode), flyeyes are good exp when you can 1-hit KO them. Simply stand on the top right platform and spam L7. Looting here without a pet is difficult, so I suggest you keep doing that for the rest of the training period. This place used to be very popular with assassins, but the number of people training here drastically lowered in the past 2 years, so finding a channel is no problem. The trip to the flyeye cave is dangerous though, so watch out. Crowds: Very low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Negative (if you don’t loot) Practice Field: Beginner Level (level 43-70) Monsters: Straw Target Dummy Description: Once you can 2-hit KO these 100% of the time, target dummies will outshine all other training options for at least another 5-10 levels. The spawn here is awesome, the map is small and totally flat, and the dummies are located in is right next to a town. Watch out for KSers though; these maps are especially full during 2x exp. Crowds: Moderate Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: High Ludi Maze PQ (level 51-60) Level Limit: 51-70 Description: Ludi Maze PQ is an extremely easy PQ to learn. When I started, I simply followed one of my more experienced members to the tauros. The quest is good exp most of the time, though the actual exp that you get is pretty random. A good PQ should last 1-2 minutes; if it takes longer than that go find another party. Since you finish the PQ so quickly, your inventory will probably clog up with prizes, so make sure you empty out your “use” slots before entering. Guide: http://global.hidden-street.net/pquest/ludibrium-maze/stage-1 Entrance Difficulty: Low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: High Orbis Rush PQ (level 51-60) Level Limit: 51-70 Description: Unlike Ludi Maze PQ, Orbis Rush PQ gives very stable experience. Plus, it’s the only PQ in existence where your class, strength, or brains don’t matter. Unfortunately, the Orbis PQ area has pretty much been a deserted wasteland since the patching of Glitch PQ, so you will have some problems finding a party. Entrance Difficulty: Very low Exp: 7/10 Money Gain: Nonexistant Suburban Area 1 (Level 53-65) Monsters: Freezer Description: Suburban Area 1 is a huge map with huge spawn. It’s great for parties, though an assassin can easily solo it. I suggest that you don’t train here until you can 1-hit KO Freezers 100% of the time. Otherwise, the mobs may get too large. Unlike most Singapore training spots, you’ll actually have time to pick up your drops here, so the money is pretty decent. Crowds: Very low Exp: 7/10 Money Gain: Moderate Sophia’s Bedroom 3, Vanity Room 3 (level 55-80) Monsters: Hoodoos, Voodoos Description: Training at Voodoos and Hoodoos is both awesome and very annoying. First, let's review what's good: V/Hoodoos have one of the best Hp:Exp ratios in Maplestory and are located in Sophia's Bedroom 3 and Vanity Room 3, which are COMPLETELY flat and very small. The bad: It's KSer heaven. Don’t count on finding a map in this place, especially during 2x exp. The two V/Hoodoos maps are very crowded, though it’s loosened up a bit since the release of Crimsonwood Keep. To train here successfully, you must be able to 3-hit KO the dolls. Crowds: High Exp: 10/10 Money Gain: High Lab Area B-3, Lab Area B-1 (Level 55-65) Monsters:Iron Mutae, Mithril Mutae Descriptions: Lab Areas B-1 and 3 are both long, flat platforms with a good spawn of Mutae. B-1 has Mithril Mutae and B-3 has Iron Mutae. I recommend you be able to one-hit KO Iron or both types of Mutae before training here. Few people train here, so this map is a reasonable, though less rewarding, alternative to more popular spots like Straw Target Dummies. Crowds: Very low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain:Moderate Wild Bear Area 1 (Level 60-70) Monsters: Grizzly Description: Grizzlies are surprisingly good training and can easily act as an alternative to more popular areas such as Straw Dummies and V/Hoodoos. You can start going to Wild Bear Area 1 once you 2-hit KO Grizzlies 100% of the time. The circulation method here mostly consists of sniping the Grizzlies from small platforms. Circulation map: http://i555.photobucket.com/albums/jj470/OmgItsTheSmartGuy/mulunggrizzlycirculationmap.jpg?t=1245258591 Crowds: Very low Exp: 7/10 Money Gain: Moderate Ghost Ship 1,2,5 (Level 60-68) Monsters: Pac Pinky/Selkie Jr./Slimy Descriptions: These 3 Ghost Ship maps are ideal for training. The spawn is high, the maps’ platforms are flat, and no one trains here (with the exception of the occasional cleric). It’s perfect once you can 2-hit KO the type of monster in each map 100% of the time. However, the large and fast-moving mobs here pack a punch, so don’t count on making any money. Crowds: Low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Low Crossroads (Top level)(Level 65-70) Monsters: Windraider, Phantom Tree Description: This training spot is for the lazy people. Basically, you stand on the top platform and snipe at a Windraider that spawns in the exact same place every 6 or 7 seconds. It’s easy, and surprisingly good exp. It’s recommended that, every once in a while, you walk over to the spawn point and loot the drops. Here’s a guide on how to get to the Crossroads: http://sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1496257 Crowds: Very low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: High 50-Year Old Herb Garden (Level 65-70) Monsters: Jar, Ginseng Jar Description: The spawn is really fast. I mean, really. Ever since Nexon's revision of this map in Patch 0.49, it's been like a two-platform Straw Target Dummies. And once you can 1-hit KO Ginseng Jars 100% of the time, it gives nearly the same amount of exp, too. The best part: almost no one ever goes here. However, the jars move faster than Dummies, so looting is harder and you have to be slightly more alert. Training here is still relatively easy, though. Simply circle the map in a clockwise motion. Crowds: Very low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Moderate Mysterious Path 3 (Level 65-80) Monsters:Slimy, Selkie Jr. Description: Mysterious Path 3 has the fastest spawn in all of GMS. Seriously. In fact, it’s so fast that many assassins have a very hard time training here. The best way to work with the spawn of Mysterious Path 3 is to make use a various sniping spots positioned across it. Here’s a diagram to help you with training, assuming you can find an empty map. In the likely event where you have to share this map, I recommend taking the bottom platform, since it’s the biggest and there is a really good sniping spot on top of the SUV. You can start training here once you are able to 2-hit KO Slimys 100% of the time. Stay on top of the SUV whenever it’s convenient; the monsters here pack a punch with their magic attack. Crowds: Very high Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: Low Suburban Area 2 (Level 67-80) Monsters: Trucker Description: Training at Suburban Area 2 may cause you to feel claustrophobic. This is due to three reasons: 1. The spawn here, like most Singapore maps, is very high. 2. Truckers have a prolonged dying animation. 3. Truckers are freaking HUGE. Feeling claustrophobic as an assassin is a bad thing, since it usually means you’re going to end up punching a monster with your claw. This map is no exception. To train here, you must have maxed haste and be able to 1-hit KO Truckers 100% of the time. Otherwise, you’re going to have a hell of a time. Still, the exp gain is pretty good. Crowds: Low Exp: 8/10 Money Gain: Nonexistant Lower Ascent (level 65-90) Monsters: Windraider, Stormbreaker, Crimson Tree Description: Once you leave V/Hoodoos and Straw Target Dummies, this could very well be your main training spot for a very, very long time. Windraiders have an amazing HP:exp ratio (even better than V/Hoodoos), zero knockback requirements, and an extremely short-ranged magic attack. What makes Lower Ascent different from the Crossroads is that the map’s spawn is super fast. You can start training here once you are able to 5-hit KO Windraiders. The real exp gain comes once you can 4-hit KO them, though. Here is an extremely handy guide on training and getting to Lower Ascent: http://sleepywood.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1496257 Crowds:High Exp: 10/10 Money Gain: Moderate (more, if you can use the Phantom Forest Exchange Quest) Tornado Corridor (Level 70-90) Monsters: Windraider Description: This map is located in the lower left-hand corner of the inside of the Crimsonwood Keep, and is a very good alternative to Lower Ascent. Unlike Lower Ascent, the map is very small and only spawns Windraiders. Plus, it’s a lot less crowded due to the difficulty of reaching Crimsonwood Keep. However, this map has NO sniping spots, so I don’t recommend you train here until you can 4-hit KO Windraiders every single time. Crowds: Moderate Exp: 10/10 Money Gain: Low (more, if you can use the Phantom Forest Exchange Quest) Dangerous Sea Gorge I (level 83-93) Monsters: Squid, Risell Squid, Goby Description: This is a relatively outdated training spot, but it’s still decent exp. Here, you snipe the both the regular and Risell Squids from any platform you can find (there aren’t any designated sniping spots). The mudballs shot by Squids as a magic attack are comically weak; with a Zakum Helm, they hardly inflict 30 points of damage. The mist is more dangerous, but it’s a short range attack, so no worries there. Work your way down the map. Once you reach the bottom floor (which you may have a hard time clearing), work your way back up. Travel is extremely easy since you’re underwater, though Flash Jump doesn’t really work here. The Risell Squids near the bottom have a magic attack that can inflict over 1300 damage close range and 600 damage from a distance, so make sure you don’t get too close to them. Also, avoid the Goby Houses at all costs. They cause a lot of trouble for hermits. Crowds: Very low Exp: 7/10 Money Gain: Moderate Newt Secured Zone/Destroyed Dragon’s Nest (level 83-100) Monsters: Jr. Newtie, Nest Golem Description: These two maps are designed the exact same, except Newt Secured Zone is a mini-dungeon, which makes it great for 2x exp events. The Junior Newties should respawn the moment you finish killing one. Therefore, you’ll be spending your entire time here sniping from here at the one Newtie that spawns to the right. When killed, most Newties (with the exception of the one you’re sniping at) will turn into Nest Golems, which are impossible for you to kill. Therefore, Nest Golems should be avoided at all costs. If you see a Nest Golem on the 2nd platform of your map, LEAVE. However, Nest Golems also help maintain the spawn. Having two Nest Golems in the map (but not on the 2nd platform) will allow the single Jr. Newtie you’re sniping to spawn continuously. If you don’t have two Nest Golems in your map, you can attempt to kill one of the Jr. Newties that turns into a Nest Golem. It’s also important to note that maps with three Nest Golems should be avoided, since they cause the map to have a bad spawn rate. (Thanks to xshadow2 for these tips!) Training here is unbelievably boring, so it’s recommended that you turn on Windowed Mode (alt+enter) and watch Youtube or something. However, the exp is very good once you can hit the Newties 100% of the time (you may need sniper pills). You probably won’t be making any money at all, since it’s extremely hard and not very rewarding to loot your drops without a pet. Crowds:Very low (mini-dungeon) Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: Negative Crossroads, Creeping Evil, Hidden Evil, Hollowed Ground (Level 85-95) Monster: Headless Horseman Description: Believe it or not, but killing Headless Horseman is actually pretty good exp for mid-level hermits. Headless Horseman (HH) spawns every 4-8 hours in over 8 different maps around the Phantom Forest. He has a knockback of 1500 damage, making him ridiculously easy for hermits to solo, and he gives 300k exp when killed (about 5-8%). Assuming you can inflict over 1500 damage with at least one star every single time you hit him, you will be able to knock him back indefinitely. You should be able to solo HH in 10 minutes or less and use 6-10 Sorcerer Elixirs in the process. Make sure you don’t get hit by his magic attack, though. It’s a 1-hit KO. Of course, HH is a boss, so the viability of this idea depends on which server you play in. People in crowded servers like Scania and Bera will have a very hard time finding Headless Horseman. People in newer servers like Demethos and Yellonde may find training on Headless Horseman great exp. This is a “just-for-fun” option, so I wouldn’t recommend spending more than an hour per day training like this. Note: Don’t wait for HH to spawn. Channel surf. If that doesn’t work, then map surf. Crowds: High Exp: 6/10 to 10/10 (depends on how many HH you find) Money Gain: Low Encounter With Buddha (Level 95-110) Monsters: Dreamy Ghost (Hime), Black Crow Description: “Encounter With Buddha” is a flat map filled with Himes that, by level 95, gives much better exp than Jr. Newties. The ideal way to train here is to stand on one side of the map (preferably the left side) and kill a mob of 4+ Himes with Avenger. When the mob only has 2 Himes left, Flash Jump to the middle of the map and attack some more Himes with Avenger, then Flash Jump back to where you were before and continue killing. Due to the ridiculously fast spawn rate, it’s not recommend you go here until your Avenger is level 21. Himes are relatively easy to push back due to their low knockback, but their magic attack is impossible to prevent, so training here will be an ENORMOUS potion burn. I’m talking nearly 3 million mesos a level. Since Himes move extremely fast, you will probably have to go to the previous map (Vanished Village) to recast any buffs, which is why you should always stay on the left side of the map (where the portal is located). Also, if you see Black Crow, leave immediately. His magic attack will kill any hermit in one hit. Crowds: Low Exp: 10/10 Money Gain: (Super) Negative The Wrath of Night (level 95-110) Monsters: Nightshadow Description: The Wrath of Night, located on the upper-left corner of Crimsonwood Keep, is a map identical to Tornado Corridor. The only difference is that Nightshadows spawn here instead of Windraiders. Their touch and magic damage is virtually the same as that of Himes, except Nightshadows move slightly slower and have extremely avoidable magic attacks, making them a much cheaper training option. Here, your Avenger must be at least level 21, but preferably maxed. The map has 4 main platforms and should be cleared in a circular order (i.e. top platform -> right -> bottom -> left). Be extremely careful training here and avoid getting stuck in mobs (Flash Jump!). With their touch damage of 1700+, two hits and you’re pretty much dead no matter what your level. You will generally have enough time to pick up drops, and after some practice with Flash Jump you’ll probably be able to avoid getting hit most of the time. Nightshadows frequently drop Dark Crystal and Black Crystal Ores, along with Black and Red Powders, which can be sold for a reasonable amount in the FM. They also drop Nightshadow Badges, so you can make money from the Phantom Forest Exchange Quest too. Crowds: Low Exp: 9/10 Money Gain: High (more if you can do the exchange quest) Training Spots Beyond Here Quite honestly, I don’t know crap about training spots for those level 100 and beyond. As you may have noticed, my character isn’t that high level yet. I will continue updating this guide as I continue leveling up, but for now, consider consulting some other thief guides, or ask the forum. The map you enter should have typhons in it. Turn on Dark Sight. Keep walking up until you reach the next portal (also at the very top). Enter. In that map, you will land on a platform with a hole to the left. Walk into that hole. You will be teleported up the map. Finally, get into the top portal. You'll enter a map full of Crimson Guardians (Dark Sight=super important). Enter the portal in the middle of the map. Then, walk to the door at the very far left side of the map. Enter. One-hit KO is essential to training at Truckers, and 2-hit KO is just as important at Mysterious Path 3. Assassins aren't close-range attackers. I have a suggestion. Im a lvl 65 sin and i was trying to get elpam magnets. and i noticed they are really good exp. if you can one hit kill them. 95 exp and there are a lot of them in kulan map 1
