3) Beginner

Getting started: Roll the dice

A magician depends on INT and LUK, INT will give you the "Magic" that is equal to power, and M.Acc (Magic Accuracy) which will make you hit a monster and not "miss" it, the higher your Magic/INT, the higher you will be hitting, LUK gives you the "right" to equip new items, and more M.Acc, that's why we are aiming for this result after rolling the dice (you can roll the dice as many times as you wish by clicking on it):

STR: 4/5
DEX: 4/5
INT: X
LUK: X

X = anything.

In other words, the lower your STR/DEX is, the higher your INT/LUK will be, which is what we want.

4) AP Builds

AP refers to "Ability Points" which is what will make you even stronger than what you are, each level up you will get 5 AP, without the correct AP Build your character is going to be weak, that's why I'm here to help:

4.1) Regular Luk

Pros/cons of Reg Luk AP Build:

Pros: You will be having new weapons/ armors (overalls for magicians) all the time, that means that if you don't like the look of a weapon/ overall, you will be able to get a new one in no time

Cons: will be more expensive than Luckless/Low Luk and weaker

How to do this build:You have to add 4 INT and 1 LUK each level up.

WARNING:make sure your LUK is 3 above your level.
For example: I'm level 3, I should have 6 LUK.
I'm level 4, I should have 7 LUK, and so on.
If your character has more then +3 LUK then your level, than just add 5 INT each level up until you are 3 levels below your LUK amount, or your LUK is 3 above your level, and then add 1 LUK and 4 INT each level up.

4.2) Lukless

Pros/cons of Lukless AP Build:

Pros: Strongest out of all the 3 AP builds and cheapest in the long run

Cons: If you don't like your weapon/ overall it's a big problem, since you are stuck with it for a VERY long time, and sometimes stuck with it forever (Can be solved with NX), you lose 10% instead of 5% when you die, because of the lack of Luk .

This AP Build cost less (a lot less) then reg LUK/Low Luk(as mentioned above) in the long run since you will probably use only 3 weapons, Wooden wand(level 8 requirement), Maple Lama Staff (level 43 requirement) and Maple Shine Wand/Maple Widsom Staff (level 64 requirement), now that Elemental Wands are out, you might want to aim for a level 130 Wand as your last weapon (requires no Luk).

How to do this build: Just add 5 points into INT each level up

4.3) LowLuk

Pros/cons of Low Luk AP Build:

Pros: Stronger than Reg Luk and will be able to change weapons/overalls until a certain point

Cons: Weaker than LuckLess, at a certain point won't be able to change weapons/overalls

How to do this build: Same as Reg Luk, just that at a certain point(you pick that point) will stop adding LUK and go with the LukLess AP Build

5) The Magician

5.1) 1st Job Advancement
Long version: Supposing you are now level 8 and bored to hell from Maple Island, congratulations! you are now able to do your 1st Job Advancement to be a magician!
Now you must be thinking: Great, how the hell do I do that? Yeah, that's why I'm here to help:
Now that you're still on maple island go to a town named "South Perry" keep going to the right until you see a huge boat with a guy named "Shanks" on it, if you can't recognize him, he looks like a prince with blue clothes and blond hair (Gee, I wonder how many of those there are), he will tell you that he could take you to Lith Harbor for 150 messos, click next/Yes to everything he says, now that you are in "Lith Harbor" on that big boat, go to the right until you see a little cabin with someone named "Phil" inside it and a girl in a bunny suit named "Jane" near it, click on Phil and select "Please take me somewhere else" and go to "Ellinia", or you can walk over there.

Now that you are in Ellinia, go to the top of the city to a house, you will see a creepy flying old man, that's "Grendel the really old", he will make you a magician by pressing on the "I'd like to know more about the magician class" and clicking next/yes to all the stuff he says, congratulations! you are now officially a magician and have gained the skill book:"Intro. to Magic"

Short version:
1) Talk to Shanks.
2) Talk to Phil and go to Ellinia.
3) Talk to Grendel.

5.2) The Magician: Explanation about your skills

Improving MP Recovery: With this skill, you will receive even more MP than usual every 10 Seconds, this will save you potions when traveling through towns with Teleport when you're at level 9x and above (due to receiving more than losing from Teleport).

Improving Max MP Increase: This is probably, the most useful skill (Passive/ Supportive) you'll ever get, on every level up, it will increase your MAX MP, meaning you'll be able to cast a Skill more times before taking a Potion, and have more Survive-ability (due to MG using an 80% of your MP), the more INT you have, the more this skill will add.

Magic Guard: This skill will take an 80% of the Damage to our MP, instead of HP. (Supposing a monster hits 1,000 damage, and we have only 700 HP, it doesn't matter, it will get 800 MP out and 200 HP out).

Magic Armor: Adds Weapon Defense, most useless skill you'll ever get.

Energy Bolt: Creates an Energy Bolt (hence the name ._.") to attack an Enemy.

Magic Claw: Creates two Clutches that attacks 1 Enemy 2 times, very strong skill (for 1st job).

5.3) The Magician: Skill Build:

8- +1 EB(1)
9- +3 Improving MP Recovery(3)
10- +2 Improving MP Recovery(5) +1 Improving Max MP Increase(1)
11- +3 Improving Max MP Increase(4)
12- +3 Improving Max MP Increase(7)
13- +3 Improving Max MP Increase(max)
14- +3 MC(3)
15- +3 MC(6)
16- +3 MC(9)
17- +3 MC(12)
18- +3 MC(15)
19- +3 MC(18)
20- +2 MC(max) +1 Improving MP Recovery(6)
21- +3 Improving MP Recovery(9)
22- +3 Improving MP Recovery(12)
23- +3 Improving MP Recovery(15)
24- +1 Improving MP Recovery(max) +2 MG(2)
25- +3 MG(5)
26- +3 MG(8)
27- +3 MG(11)
28- +3 MG(14)
29- +3 MG(17)
30- +3 MG(max)

5.4) The Magician: Skill Build; The explanation

Level 8, fresh, right off Maple Island. 1 EB would be beneficial for some, although I'd recommend to use 3 snails as it does more damage. But that point won't have much effect, anyway.
Improving MP Recovery is a pre-requisite for Improving Max MP Increase, and we all know why we want that first. Then MC for attack skills. Plus, it'll be useful to you through all your way as a magician. Improving MP Recovery then, or max MG, is optional (although I didn't mention it). At the early 2x, you don't actually NEED MG, making Improving MP Recovery better.

5.5) The Magician: Training Zones

6) The F/P Wizard

6.1) 2nd Job Advancement

Long version:Congratulations! You are now level 30 and ready to take the 2nd Job Advancement! Now you must be thinking AGAIN: Great, how the hell do I do that? Yeah, that's why I'm here to help again:
To make the 2nd Job Advancement you have to go again to Grendel at the house at the top of Ellinia and talk to him, press next/yes until he gives you a letter (make sure you have an etc slot open, or else you won't get the letter), you have to take that letter to your 2nd Job Instructor which is located in the map: "Forest North of Ellinia" at the top of the map, double click on him and press next/yes to everything he says until he warp you to a map with Cursed Eyes and other monsters, he will tell you to collect 30 dark marbles.

WARNING: Make sure you have AT LEAST 50 HP potions and another 50 MP to be able to complete it, try not to die or disconnect, because you will have to collect again the marbles from ZERO, and it's a pain in the ass.

When you're done collecting the marbles go back to him (2nd Job Instructor) (He is on the same map as you) and give him the marbles by double clicking on him and pressing next/yes to everything he says, he will give you an item, DO NOT DROP THIS ITEM, now go back to Grendel and give him that item by double clicking on him, then double click on him again and select "I would like to chose my job advancement" (or something like that) and select Fire/Poison wizard.
Congratulations! you are now officially a WIZARD and have gained the skill book:"Fire & Poison Basics"

Short version:
1) Talk to Grendel.
2) Talk to your 2nd Job Instructor.
3) Collect 30 Dark Marbles by killing the monsters there are there.
4) Talk to your 2nd Job Instructor again.
5) Talk to Grendel again.

6.2) The F/P Wizard: Explanation about your skills

MP Eater: Absorbs an Enemy's MP when attacking it, not a useful skill, will have a minimal, or no use.

Meditation: Adds M. Atk, each point into it will make it raise 1 more M. Atk.

Teleport: Uses MP to Teleport (moving instantly) to move to another place in the Map, used for Avoiding monsters/ projectiles, faster traveling, etc. The higher the skill level is, the further you can Teleport.

Slow: Slows down up to 6 Monsters at once, if used twice on a monster(s), it will not double the effect, only refresh it (causing it last for another 'x' amount of time).

Fire Arrow: Uses MP to create a powerful Fire Arrow, will apply 150% damage on Ice/ Snow/ Wood/ Crystal monsters, while only a 50% damage on Fire monsters.

Poison Brace: Creates a Water bubble with Poison inside, this skill is not used for it's (lame) damage, it's used for it's effect, it will poison a Monster and slowly kill it. Very useful for training (will be explained later on).

67- +1 MPE(max) +2 AYW
68- +3 AYW
69- +3 AYW
70- +3 AYW

NOTE:
Amhenia:

I think we have 2 builds

max pb- max tele- max slow- max medi or mp-eater- max the other- 11 anywhere

and

max tele- max pb- max slow- same

I did the first but I think the second one would be better, since claw training is better than PB training until 45~50. With max Teleport you can increase your % per hour using claw, in the other build at lvl 38 you have 2 attacking skills with the same base attack, and since poison weak monsters aren't good for training ... .
the 1st build here is build "A" on my guide, and the 2nd is build "B", due to the words of an experienced Pizard, build "B" is better than build "A".

NOTE: AYW= Anything You Want

6.4) The F/P Wizard: Skill Build(s); The explanation

Fizard Build: First point to Teleport is a must. It gives you more ability to move around, good for traveling, avoiding attacks, and more. Then FA, it's your new attacking skills, it gets your training faster. From there, you can choose Medi for the extra M. Atk (can be solved with Wizard Elixirs), or you can choose Teleport for more range and less MP cost. From there, you dump points into MPE and Slow since you've got no better thing to drop them in. As a Fizard, you won't have a use for Slow, but in 3rd job, it'll pay off.

Hybrid Build: FA & Tele are same reasons as above. Then you can max Tele or PB, Tele would be my own recommendation since at 40 ~ 50, PB has no purpose. You then proceed to max Slow since it helps alot at PB training, and then leftover points at MPE/ Medi.

Pizard Build (A|B): The idea is basically the same as the PB/Tele argument on the Hybrid Build explanation, so you pick whichever you want. You then max Tele/ Slow (depending of if you followed A or B), and all the other skills aren't good as a 2nd jobber, will pay off more in 3rd, or 4th job.

7) The F/P Mage

7.1) 3rd Job Advancement
Long version: Congratulations! You are now level 70 and ready to take your 3rd Job Advancement! Now you must be thinking for the 3rd time (Can't this guy shut up?): Great, how the hell do I do that? Yeah, that's why I'm here to help again :
Go to El Nath, in the map "Chief's residence", there will be a NPC named "Robeira", that's your 3rd Job Instructor, talk to her, after that, go back to Grendel in the Magic Library, talk to him, after that, go for the Door Of Another Dimension located at the map "Forest of Evil II".

You'll enter a very weird map with green crystals, walk until the end of the map, enter the next portal you see, after that, go to the bottom of the current map and fight Grendel The Really Old's clone, after defeating it, collect the Black Charm.

After that, return to Grendel and give him the Black Charm, and he'll give you a "Necklace of Strength" in return (Yays! ).
Now that you have your Necklace, return to Robeira in Chief's residence and give her your Necklace (Aww ).

Now go for your 2nd test, which you will do in the map "Holy Ground at the Snowfield", accessible from the map "Sharp Cliff II", what you have to do is answer 5 questions, You'll need 1 DARK (Not black) crystal to answer the questions, after answering the questions (You can't be wrong even on one question, or you'll have to give the Rock another Dark Crystal), you'll get the "Necklace of Widsom", go again to Robeira, give her the Necklace and you're done! , congratulations on becoming a Mage! You have just earned the Skill Book "Adv. Fire & Poison" .

Short version:
1) Speak to Robeira.
2) Talk to Grendel.
3) Find "Door Of Another Dimension".
4) Defeat Grendel's clone.
5) Talk to Grendel again.
6) Talk to Robeira again.
7) Talk to the weird stone in the map "Holy Ground at the Snowfield".
8) Talk to Robeira again.
9) You're done .

7.2) The F/P Mage: Explanation About Your Skills

Partial Resistance: You get a Defense Bonus over Fire/ Poison based attacks (from Monsters), helpful to reduce damage at Bosses.

Element Amplification: Uses more MP, but increases all the skill's damage, very, very useful skill.

Explosion: Makes an Explosion around you, will hit at all direction (right, left, up, down), Fire based attack, hits up to 6 monsters, the higher the Level of the skill, the higher the Range and Power.

Poison Mist: Makes a Poison Fog around the Characters, all the Monsters inside will be poisoned, Poison based attack, hits 1 monster, effect takes over any amount of monsters inside the Fog.

Seal: Monsters aren't able to use their Magic on you when being Sealed. Raises survive-ability and lowers Pot cost.

Magic Booster: Will raise the Casting speed of your Skills, thus increasing your DPM and DOT.

Magic Composition: Combines Fire and Poiosn to create one powerful Arrow, the damage is divided in 50% Fire and 50% Poison, monsters hit will be Poisoned with a given success rate.

7.4) The F/P Mage: Skill Build(s); The explanation

Mist Build: We start off with 1 Mist. The reason for that is that Mist grows range, and time duration at levels 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28. This is why putting one on Explosion, and then 3 on Mist, would mean going one level later to Squids/ Skeles. This is also one of the reasons why many people leave their Mist at 28 instead of 30 (although I don't recommend it). You then proceed to raise Explosion to 4, for more range. AMP to 3 as a pre-requisite for Seal. You max Seal since it helps you avoid damage and die less, then Booster for faster casting speed. Explosion is maxed now for much better range, and well, then, lastly, AMP for Meteo. You can do whatever you want with the other points.

Explosion Build: I do not understand this build myself, so I'm sorry I can't provide an explanation for this. But it's the best one I found on the internet...

itachi5455: Btw..Update it Plz 4th job is out -_-

First thing, if you expect a nice answer you gotta ask nicely.
Secondly, I think I already said this. I haven't played a 4th job F/P AM yet, and that is the reason why I haven't wrote anything on the subject, if any respected F/P AM wants to write a section for my guide (like Torchalan, taotapp, FrozNlite, Sonny2000), sure, I'll accept it with my arms open, I'll just edit it to my writing style (which has changed alot in the past year, I think the writing style of the guide is childish now o_o), and double check the info, but you won't get any 4th section made by me, not in the close time, at least.

Now that you mention it, this writing style you've used is ugly. >_>
By the way, what happened to all the old posts? It makes me angry ; if I would've known those posts were deleted, I would've Scrapped the ones I liked.

I did put it ._.
Unless you mean 11 instead of 20, that's because the speed boost from 11 to 20 doesn't change, but only the duration.
