What's the point of Maple Madness event?
Yes, this is another windian QQ thread.
I read the Dev Blog this morning and found this:

Then I'm wondering... if developers actually [b]KNOW[/b] that, what's the point on making an event where you face the most popular world, knowing that your world will always be less populated, and give the winner 2x EXP/Drop for 2 hours?
This is ridicolous unfair, and it's not the first time they do it. Remember that poll "Who will be the first to beat Pink Bean?" ? The winner was Scania, and they got a 2xEXP event. (And Windia was the first to defeat it)
For those who read the whole thread, i'm not [i]attacking[/i] Scania. I want Nexon to quit making these kind of events. Scania will always win and it's not fair for the rest of the worlds.

Someone in the forums said that so they can access how many users will log on the most at one time. That sounds pretty feasible to me.

Obviously they're trying to figure out ways of creating some "inter world rivalries" to get players all stoked up to play more MapleStory.
The fact that the populations of those worlds are ridiculously unequal doesn't have to enter into it, that's not the point. Just get the kids riled up and they'll buy NX.
