Some people are gonna mess up their MapleStory folder real bad...
Here are some things to consider:
- Your MapleStory folder should consist of HackShield folder + 48 items.
- Do not delete .dll files, just don't.
- If you dont spot any weird names for files like "sdasfewfe3$$$$", just leave it as it is and don't delete anything.
- Have you ever failed a patch? If not, it's likely that your folder is perfectly ok.
ok ty and what about the compressed folders just after hshield do they belong? lol
Once in a while you'll need to re-install maple if it starts to take up alot of space. If you keep patching it every version of maple it starts to stack up making it a big file.
Ummm...not true.
The only reason patching makes the Maplestory folder grow out of control is if the patch FAILS and leaves behind all its temporary files. If you have to redo the patch a number of times these failed patch temporary folders can build up and should be simply deleted. There's no reason to have to reinstall the entire game.

If the patches don't fail, the game only grows a little each time.

Yup.. you should always check the Maplestory folder after an upgrade or patch to see if any of those "jsldjlduoieuof$$$" files are left behind and delete them to keep these failed patch folders from eating up your hard drive with useless stuff. The ONLY folder that should be inside the Maplestory folder is called "HShield". Any others are just wasting hard drive space.

With a lot of things, temporary folders aren't a big deal, but Maplestory's patches and installations are HUGE and will fill up lots of space pretty quickly, especially if you have to try patching more than once to get it to work.

When you patch your games, it store files in that temporary folder before doing so. It usually get deleted after the patch finished; however, it will get left behind if it fails. I've heard someone free up to 18GB a few months ago from their MS folder.
